Why do acne appear on the face?

Acne on the face is quite common among some young people. There are many reasons for acne. For some women, if they do not remove makeup properly or thoroughly, it can easily cause adverse stimulation and clog the pores. In addition, when the weather is dry in winter, if you do not pay attention to moisturizing and hydrating, acne may also occur. The deep-seated reason is endocrine disorders.

Why do acne appear on the face?

1. Improper makeup removal

Removing makeup is a very important thing. If you do not remove the remaining makeup on your face before going to bed, the remaining makeup will clog your pores and penetrate deep into the pores, preventing the pores from breathing fresh air and causing them to grow closed.

2. Dry skin

When the skin is dry and dehydrated, its metabolism is slow, and the production of new skin cells is slow, resulting in the failure of old dead skin cells to fall off normally and accumulation on the surface of the skin. A major cause of closed comedones is the combination of an excessively thick stratum corneum, abnormal keratinization and excessive secretion of sebaceous glands.

3. Vitamin deficiency

Many girls don’t like to eat vegetables and have some picky eating habits. If the skin lacks vitamin B or vitamin A, it will lead to an imbalance in skin metabolism, the growth of new cells will become slow, and without new cells maturing, old dead skin cells will remain on the surface of the skin, causing the growth of closed comedones.

4. What causes male hormone secretion?

Androgens stimulate the increase of sebaceous glands and promote the keratinization of hair follicles, thereby clogging the pores and causing inflammation, resulting in acne and pimples. Androgens can also cause the cuticle to thicken. Although the reason has not been identified, the increase in androgens will indeed disrupt the balance between androgens and estrogens, causing the cuticle to thicken faster.

5. Ultraviolet rays

Ultraviolet rays can cause serious damage to the skin. When the skin is exposed to ultraviolet rays, it becomes thicker, thus forming cuticle blockage. In addition, ultraviolet rays can accelerate the drying of the skin, causing cuticle hypertrophy.

6. Mental stress and excessive fatigue

Mental stress is also a factor that affects the growth of closed comedones. Long-term excessive stress is not only harmful to the body, but also to the skin. Some people often stay up late, which can cause hormone imbalance in the body, incomplete endocrine metabolism, and cause moisture loss in the skin.
