How to use He Shou Wu

Shouwu is divided into raw Shouwu and processed Shouwu. Raw Polygonum multiflorum can be used for making soups, stewing in iron pots, and making into Chinese medicinal decoctions for internal consumption; while processed Polygonum multiflorum can be directly brewed into tea for internal consumption, or it can be stewed with Chinese medicinal materials for internal consumption. So how to use Polygonum multiflorum?

In clinical medicine, the effects of Polygonum multiflorum are also different. Raw Polygonum multiflorum can detoxify, relieve malaria, and promote digestion; while processed Polygonum multiflorum has the effect of nourishing kidney qi. In clinical medicine, they can be used to treat qi and blood deficiency, insomnia, memory loss, and common kidney deficiency. Shouwu can be used to treat kidney deficiency, sore waist and weak legs, dizziness, aging and other symptoms; Shouwu can also be used to treat dengue fever; it can treat sores, swelling, itching all over the body, as well as constipation caused by deficiency of both Qi and blood in the elderly.

Shouwu is a traditional Chinese medicine. Its main functions are to stop hair loss, promote hair growth and blacken hair. It can effectively remove toxins, moisturize the intestines and promote bowel movements. The main way to take Shouwu is to boil water with Shouwu. You can add 50g of Shouwu to 200ml of water and simmer it for about 10 minutes. Through the method of drinking water, the nutrients in Shouwu can be digested and absorbed, so as to achieve the therapeutic purpose of Shouwu. However, do not put too much Shouwu when eating, otherwise it may cause severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and many other side effects. If side effects occur, it is recommended to stop taking the drug. The side effects will disappear quickly and are unlikely to leave permanent effects.

Shouwu is sweet, slightly warm, and enters the kidney meridian. This product can be used raw to treat yin-blood deficiency, excess heat and less cold caused by uncured dengue fever, and can be used together with turtle shell. If you feel tired, bloated, and pale, Shouwu can be used together with ginseng and Chuanxiong. Shouwu has the effect of promoting digestion, and can treat intestinal constipation caused by deficiency of qi and blood due to aging, long-term illness or childbirth. Shouwu can be used in combination with Chuanxiong, Cistanche and hemp seed. Boil black beans in water, mix with raw Polygonum multiflorum, and then cook it to make processed Polygonum multiflorum. It can treat premature graying of hair caused by liver and kidney deficiency, and can be used together with wolfberry and Chuanxiong. For dizziness, numbness of limbs, weakness of waist and legs caused by insufficient kidney essence, Shouwu can be used together with Shengdihuang. This product can be drunk by boiling water whether it is raw or cooked.
