AIDS is a relatively serious disease. In the early stages of the disease, patients will experience cold-like symptoms and coughing, which is very similar to the cough caused by the common cold. When AIDS patients cough, it will also cause swollen lymph nodes, often leading to symptoms such as chest pain, and even difficulty breathing and blood in sputum, which is different from the symptoms of a common cold cough. What are the early symptoms of AIDS? 1. General symptoms Persistent fever, weakness, night sweats, and persistent widespread lymphadenopathy. Especially the swelling of lymph nodes in the neck, armpits and groin is more obvious. The lymph nodes are larger than 1 cm in diameter, firm, movable and painless. Weight loss can reach more than 10% within 3 months, and as much as 40%, with patients experiencing particularly obvious weight loss. 2. Respiratory symptoms Long-term cough, chest pain, difficulty breathing, and blood in sputum in severe cases. 3. Gastrointestinal symptoms Decreased appetite, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and bloody stools in severe cases. Medications commonly used to treat digestive tract infections are not effective for this type of diarrhea. 4. Neurological symptoms Dizziness, headache, slow reaction, intellectual impairment, mental abnormality, convulsions, hemiplegia, dementia, etc. 5. Skin and mucous membrane damage Herpes simplex, herpes zoster, inflammation and ulceration of oral and pharyngeal mucosa. 6. Tumors A variety of malignant tumors may occur. Kaposi's sarcoma located on the body surface may appear as red or purple macules, papules, and infiltrative masses. How to prevent AIDS correctly (1) Keep yourself clean, do not sell blood at illegal blood collection stations, do not go to pornographic places, and do not rashly enter and exit certain entertainment venues; maintain a strong awareness of AIDS prevention in any occasion; do not have any fluke mentality; do not try drugs out of curiosity. (2) When you are sick, go to a regular clinic or hospital for treatment. Pay attention to the safety of blood transfusions. Do not go to medical institutions where the disinfection of medical equipment is unreliable, especially private clinics, for injections, tooth extractions, acupuncture, or surgery. Do not use unsterile instruments for ear piercing, tattooing, or beauty treatments. (3) Do not share razors, toothbrushes, etc. with others, try to avoid contact with other people's body fluids and blood, and disinfect items contaminated by others in a timely manner. (4) Be careful when in contact with AIDS patients: When drawing blood or giving injections to AIDS patients, syringes should be disposable, and the patient's blood, excrement, and contaminated items should be thoroughly incinerated. |
