How to prevent pregnancy with fertility physique

How to prevent pregnancy with fertility physique

Some girls feel that they are particularly easy to get pregnant, and they seem to get pregnant accidentally. Others need to make calculations and prepare for pregnancy for a long time, but they don’t need to do that at all. This kind of physique is the so-called fertile physique, and a fertile physique is definitely not a bad thing. But not all girls want babies. There are many cases where an unexpected pregnancy leads to a tragic end in a relationship, and girls with fertile physiques need to pay more attention to contraception.

So, how can people with fertility use contraception scientifically and safely?

Method 1 Barrier method

The contraceptive principle of condoms is to prevent sperm from coming into contact with fertile eggs.

Condoms are available in various convenience stores, pharmacies, supermarkets, etc. Different brands have different prices. Another benefit of condoms is that they can prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases while providing contraception. Condoms are made of thin latex, so they can occasionally break during intercourse. If this happens, the chances of pregnancy increase. People who are allergic to latex condoms should choose plastic condoms.

Method 2: Hormonal contraception

(1) Oral contraceptives.

The synthetic estrogen and progesterone contained in birth control pills can prevent a woman's eggs from leaving her ovaries, so pregnancy cannot occur. [4] This method of contraception is very effective if taken correctly.

To be most effective as a contraceptive, birth control pills must be taken at the same time every day. Stopping the medication for a few days may reduce its effectiveness.

This birth control pill can cause some side effects in women. If one birth control pill causes negative side effects, you may want to consider switching to another. [5]

(2) Other hormonal contraceptive methods.

In addition to birth control pills, there are other ways to release the hormones needed for contraception. If you don't like taking birth control pills every day, you may want to consider the following birth control methods:

The injectable contraceptive medroxyprogesterone acetate. It’s injected into the arm every three months. This injection is very effective as a contraceptive, but it can also have side effects, according to reports.

Contraceptive patch. These patches are usually applied to the arms, back, or thighs. It secretes hormones through the skin and needs to be replaced every few weeks.

Contraceptive ring. This contraceptive ring needs to be inserted into the vagina once a month. It releases birth control hormones.

Subcutaneous contraceptive implant. This contraceptive method involves implanting a small contraceptive rod under the skin, which provides contraceptive effects for up to three years. The implantation of the contraceptive rod must be performed in a specialized hospital.

Intrauterine device (IUD). An IUD is a small metal device that is inserted into the uterine cavity. One type of IUD releases hormones to prevent pregnancy, while another type made of copper prevents an egg from being fertilized by sperm by affecting its mobility.

Intrauterine devices are very effective, and some of them can provide contraceptive effects for up to 12 years. However, the cost of this contraceptive method is also very high, ranging from tens of millions to hundreds of thousands of yuan.

If you're concerned about disrupting your menstrual cycle, consider a copper IUD, which won't interfere with your hormone levels and doesn't have the side effects of birth control pills.

Method 3: Behavioral contraception

(1) Rhythm period contraception method.

The principle of the safe period contraceptive method is to avoid sexual intercourse during the reproductive period according to the ovulation pattern.

For women with regular menstruation, ovulation occurs approximately 14-16 days before the next estimated menstruation. The 2-3 days before and after this date are unsafe, and the rest of the days are safe periods.

During the ovulation period, there will be mild abdominal pain, bloating, transparent and long vaginal discharge, or very small amounts of bleeding, and a stronger sexual desire. However, other factors can also cause similar phenomena. Long-term use of this method is very unsafe.

Method 4: surgical contraception.

(1) Female sterilization.

A ligation procedure is done to close the fallopian tubes, preventing the possibility of pregnancy. This method of contraception is very effective, but it should not be attempted lightly because reversing it is very difficult or almost impossible.

(2) Vasectomy.

Men can prevent sperm from being released and joining the semen by closing the vas deferens. When a man ejaculates, his semen does not contain sperm, so it cannot make a woman pregnant. Vasectomy is reversible in some cases, but it should not be attempted unless permanent sterilization is intended.

Method 5: Emergency contraception after sexual intercourse

Emergency contraception.

Emergency contraception consists of two pills containing levonorgestrel, which need to be taken as soon as possible after sexual intercourse. The sooner you take the medicine, the better the contraceptive effect.

Emergency contraception pills are available at many pharmacies.

Emergency contraceptive pills should not replace normal birth control methods. It can only be used as a remedy after unprotected intercourse or failure of other contraceptive methods.
