What are varicose veins?

Varicose veins are a disease mainly caused by patients maintaining certain movements for a long time in life, especially for some white-collar friends. You sit in front of the computer every day and don’t go out for a walk often, so you are more likely to develop varicose veins. Many of us may not know what varicose veins are, mainly because patients with this disease have wrinkles on the surface of their veins.

Varicose veins are a disease that can cause great harm to our health, mainly because varicose veins affect the patient's veins and can cause blood to become blocked in the body. Therefore, it is recommended that everyone pay attention to this phenomenon in life.

Varicose veins, commonly known as "fried legs", are the most common disease of the venous system. The main cause is due to congenitally weak blood vessel wall membranes or maintaining the same posture for a long time with little change, blood accumulates in the lower limbs, which over time damages the venous valves and causes excessive venous pressure, a symptom of blood vessels protruding from the skin surface. Varicose veins often occur in the lower limbs, but can also occur in other areas such as the scrotal spermatic cord, abdominal veins, and esophageal veins in the stomach.

In addition to affecting the appearance of the legs, varicose veins also cause patients to experience soreness, swelling, discomfort and pain in the early stages of the disease. In the later stages, the damaged veins bulge, expand and become tortuous, with the great saphenous vein in the calf being the most severe. Due to venous reflux, patients often experience edema in the affected limb that is mild in the morning and severe in the evening. Long-term venous hypertension leads to increased capillary permeability in the calf area, causing red blood cells to rupture after infiltration and deposition of hemoglobin under the skin, causing the skin to darken, from dots to flakes.

Soaking your feet in hot water, especially in water boiled with ginger or chili, can quickly expand the capillary network of the human respiratory mucosa and speed up blood circulation, so that the white blood cells in the blood in the respiratory mucosa can promptly eliminate bacteria and viruses that invade the human body, thus protecting the body from infection. People who stand frequently are prone to varicose veins in the lower limbs. Foot bath can speed up blood circulation in the legs and make the venous blood in the legs return to the right heart in time, which is beneficial to reduce venous congestion in the legs and prevent varicose veins in the lower limbs. In addition, soaking your feet in hot water before going to bed can help calm your mind, relieve worries, induce hypnosis, and make your sleep deeper and sweeter.

If you have varicose veins in your life, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time to reduce the harm to you. As for varicose veins, I believe that after reading this article you should all know what kind of disease it is. I hope you can remember its phenomenon well.
