What is the most effective way to treat colds and flu?

Colds are very common in life, especially when seasons change. Colds are usually contracted in winter because the weather is colder, the cold air comes faster, and the indoor temperature is higher, which leads to a large temperature difference between indoors and outdoors. Some people with poor physical constitution will catch a cold. So how can we treat colds quickly?

1. Soak your feet in hot water

Soak your feet in hot water (the temperature should be so hot that you can't bear it) for 15 minutes every night. Make sure the water level covers your feet and your feet turn red after soaking to prevent colds.

2. Lentil flower and Patchouli drink

Ingredients: 20 grams of lentil flowers, 12 grams of patchouli, 10 grams of honeysuckle, and appropriate amount of white sugar.

Preparation method: Wash the lentil flowers, patchouli and honeysuckle, add appropriate amount of water and boil them, season with sugar and drink.

Efficacy: Traditional Chinese medicine believes that lentil flower has a good effect of strengthening the spleen and eliminating dampness, while patchouli has the effects of eliminating dampness, stopping vomiting and relieving heat. The two are used together with honeysuckle, which can clear away heat, detoxify and disperse wind-heat, to achieve a good effect of eliminating dampness and relieving exterior symptoms.

3. Patchouli Leaf Porridge

Ingredients: 20 grams of fresh Patchouli leaves, 100 grams of japonica rice.

Ingredients: First cook the japonica rice into porridge, then boil the fresh patchouli leaves for later use, add them into the porridge and boil, it becomes patchouli porridge, take it twice a day.

Efficacy: It has the effects of strengthening the spleen, eliminating dampness and relieving exterior symptoms.

4. Rinse your mouth with salt water

Rinse your mouth with light salt water every morning, evening and after meals to remove oral bacteria. When influenza is prevalent, you should pay more attention to gargling with salt water. At this time, it will be more effective if you tilt your head back and gargle so that the salt water can fully rinse the throat.

5. Massage the nasal groove

Rub your hands together, and after your palms are warm, massage the Yingxiang point (located inside the nasal groove, horizontally at the midpoint of the outer edge of the nose) more than ten times. This can prevent colds and relieve nasal congestion symptoms after a cold.
