Manifestations of psychological trauma

Psychological trauma is a term that everyone is familiar with, especially in recent years, more and more people have suffered from psychological trauma diseases. Many people suffering from psychological trauma have become tired of society because they do not receive timely treatment, and some even choose to commit suicide. But in fact, after suffering from psychological trauma, people will more or less show it in themselves. So, what are the manifestations of psychological trauma?

(1) Frequent panic

As you get older, your anxiety doesn't get better. Because of the trauma, deep down inside you see the whole world as a threat and you don't trust anyone.

At the slightest stress, you can experience the pain of a panic attack.

(2) Timid and sensitive

Traumatic experiences in childhood can completely change your life. Because you never want that situation to happen again, you have to be extra cautious and sensitive at all times in your life and not willing to take risks.

You like to stay where you are comfortable, even if you know it will hinder your development and future.

(3) Overwhelmed by fear

Psychological trauma can hurt you in a hundred ways, some of which you may not even be aware of. For example, fear of certain things. Your brain, in order to protect itself, will transform certain emotions into fear of something you don't want to do.

This fear is overwhelming and comes without warning, like it is rooted deep in your soul. But maybe at some point, you will suddenly realize that my fear of this thing is caused by painful memories of the past.

(4) Inability to Love

When you’ve experienced hurt, it’s easier to hide your empathy, compassion, and other emotions and to distance yourself from others. You hide yourself in a place where others can't see you, to prevent anyone from entering your heart again.

It is what is called the inability to love. The world is so big, but you are always alone.

(5)Becoming a passive-aggressor

You clearly did not take the initiative to intentionally hurt others, but you ended up hurting everyone around you. This is called a passive-aggressor.

Therefore, past psychological trauma makes it easier for you to enter a passive counterattack mode.

For example, someone may clearly care about you, but you may misunderstand it as mockery of you. You will understand the help from others as a conspiracy. Your knee-jerk reaction will always hurt others.

(6) Deceiving oneself

Self-deception has become a habit. You are used to denying the facts, deliberately forgetting or turning a blind eye to unpleasant things, constantly finding excuses for your failures, and deceiving yourself.

This is because past hurts have activated your psychological defense mode and made you unable to leave it.

Conclusion: When facing psychological trauma that has not healed, face it and solve it instead of ignoring it. Never forget that you have the right to ask for help, too.
