Will inhaling formaldehyde definitely cause malformation?

As we all know, formaldehyde is a very toxic gas that can cause great harm to the human body. Pregnant women are always extra careful when they are pregnant. After all, every child is the mother's baby and needs careful care. Pregnant women will pay close attention to the growth and development of the fetus during pregnancy. Its growth and development is staged, and the fetus will have different growth and development conditions in each stage. Sometimes there are reasons that can cause babies to be deformed. Will inhaling formaldehyde definitely cause malformations?

1. If you work for a long time in an environment where formaldehyde levels are significantly above the standard , it may cause miscarriage or fetal malformation. If you are just pregnant, the working environment should be well ventilated so that high concentrations of harmful gases will generally not be formed. When the weather is cold and ventilation is not possible, it is recommended to change the working environment. Pregnant women should not live in newly renovated rooms. Pregnant women should avoid going to public places during the early stages of pregnancy, and try to avoid going to kitchens filled with oil smoke. Pregnant women should breathe more fresh air.

2. Plant elimination method (Chlorophytum, Aloe)

Chlorophytum, aloe vera, and tiger tail plant can absorb a large amount of indoor formaldehyde and other pollutants, eliminating and preventing indoor air pollution;

The bactericides secreted by flowers such as jasmine, lilac, honeysuckle, and morning glory can kill certain bacteria in the air, inhibit the growth of tuberculosis, dysentery pathogens, and typhoid bacteria, and make indoor air clean and hygienic.

Most plants carry out photosynthesis during the day, absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen; and respire at night, absorbing oxygen and releasing carbon dioxide.

Some plants are the opposite, such as cactus, which releases carbon dioxide during the day and absorbs carbon dioxide and releases oxygen at night. Placing a cactus in the living room at night can replenish oxygen and help you sleep.

3. Adsorption method (activated carbon)

Adsorption is a solid surface phenomenon. It uses porous solid adsorbents to treat gaseous pollutants, so that one or several components are adsorbed on the surface of the solid adsorbent under the action of molecular gravity or chemical bond force, thereby achieving the purpose of separation.

Commonly used solid adsorbents include coke and activated carbon, among which activated carbon is the most widely used.

Activated carbon has adsorption function for substances such as benzene, toluene, xylene, ethanol, ether, kerosene, gasoline, styrene, and vinyl chloride.
