Why do men love to sleep?

Why do men love to sleep?

There are physiological reasons why men love to sleep, but it may also be due to medical reasons. For example, they are too busy at work, have too little rest time, and are under too much pressure in life and work, which can easily lead to poor rest and may cause them to love to sleep. Of course, we must also be alert to some medical reasons, such as anemia, poor physical fitness, liver and kidney diseases, etc., which may cause people to lack energy and love to sleep.

Why do men love to sleep?

In fact, sleep deprivation and hypersomnia are two different concepts. Hypersomnia is a neurological disease that can cause uncontrollable sleep, which can seriously affect a person's normal life and work and requires hospitalization for professional treatment. And for most of us, we just don't get enough sleep, not that we're sick. That is to say, in reality, we just have poor sleep quality and need to improve.

Generally speaking: a quiet sleeping environment, dim lighting, a bed of a certain hardness, a soft quilt, loose cotton pajamas, etc. can all help us enter the middle sleep and deep sleep stages as soon as possible, thereby improving our sleep quality.

How long can you go without sleep?

There is an official name for not sleeping: insomnia. Scientists first began conducting sleep deprivation experiments on humans in the second half of the 1820s. So far, the longest sleep interruption record is 264 hours and 12 minutes (about 11 days). This record was set by a 17-year-old high school student in the United States in 1964. No one has been able to break it so far.

However, you must not try to break this record easily, because not sleeping for a long time can cause great harm to the human body. If a person is deprived of sleep for a long time, it will cause many adverse mental or psychological reactions, which cannot be corrected for a long time afterwards. At the same time, long-term lack of sleep can easily lead to heart failure and sudden death! Don't be careless.

The longer you sleep, the better.

In fact, if you want to get a good night's sleep, the length of time is not the most important thing. Scientists divide human sleep into four stages: thought sleep, light sleep, moderate sleep and deep sleep. These four stages proceed in sequence. From going to bed to falling asleep, it takes about 20 minutes of sleep latency period before entering the above four stages.

Whether a person gets enough sleep is not determined by the total time spent sleeping, but by how much time you spend in deep sleep. Some people only sleep four or five hours a day. As long as two-fifths of the time is in deep sleep, they will still be full of energy and react as quickly as usual the next day. On the contrary, if you sleep for eight or nine hours a night, but are all in the light sleep stage, you will still feel poorly rested after getting up.

What time is best to get up early?

We all know that early to bed and early to rise makes a healthy body! But when is the best time for us to wake up? Scientists have shown that our bodies begin to release energy around 4 a.m. So for those who want to lose weight, the best time to get up is 5 am!

Because if you are still sleeping at this time, a large part of your body's energy will not be released, but converted into fat and accumulated around the blood vessel walls. In addition to causing obesity, it is also likely to eventually lead to arteriosclerosis after 15-20 years.
