There are many causes of headaches, but few people really understand which factors cause headaches. 1. Severe headache accompanied by vomiting indicates increased intracranial pressure, which is common in cerebral hemorrhage, brain tumors, and meningitis.

2. Paroxysmal migraine, each attack lasts for several minutes, with severe electric shock-like pain in the face, which can be triggered by talking, eating or washing the face. It is seen in trigeminal neuralgia.

3. Headache manifests as pain and throbbing sensation in the back of the head, which is more common in hypertension. The headache disappears when the blood pressure returns to normal.

4. Severe headache, accompanied by orbital pain, sharp decrease in vision, and vomiting are mostly caused by acute glaucoma.

5. Headache accompanied by nasal congestion and purulent nasal discharge, which is lighter in the morning and heavier in the afternoon, may be sinusitis.

6. Headache accompanied by dizziness may be caused by cervical spondylosis, cerebellar hemorrhage, or vertebral basilar artery insufficiency.

2) General processing

1. Pay attention to observe and understand the nature, time, and accompanying symptoms of headache attacks, and go to the hospital for further examination in time.

2. When a headache occurs, reduce activity and rest quietly. If necessary, use a small amount of sedatives and sleeping pills.

3. If you suddenly develop a severe headache accompanied by vomiting and high blood pressure, you should seek emergency treatment as soon as possible for diseases such as cerebral hemorrhage.

4. If you suspect your headache is caused by acute glaucoma, do not blindly take painkillers to relieve the pain. You should go to an ophthalmologist in time to save your eyesight, otherwise it will quickly cause blindness.

5. Taking painkillers, such as analgesics, craniostat, analgesic, etc., can only be used for temporary pain relief. Overdosing on painkillers can mask your condition. In addition, allergic rashes caused by pain relievers are also common.
