What to do if your 2-year-old baby has urticaria

It is a common phenomenon for 2-year-old babies to have urticaria. Once we treat it in time, the harm to the baby will not be great. However, you must prescribe the right medicine and never use random medicines for treatment. For inexperienced parents, it is recommended that you learn more about the relevant common sense and take your child to the doctor in time so that you can effectively control the disease. Then you should pay attention to the hygiene and diet issues of your 2-year-old baby.

If it is urticaria, then parents must pay attention to it. Urticaria has the characteristic of recurring attacks. If it is not cured in time, it will turn into chronic urticaria, which will be more troublesome. Especially when babies develop urticaria, since children cannot express themselves well, the best time for treatment may be delayed. Therefore, parents must pay attention and actively go to a regular dermatology hospital for professional examination and treatment.

Urticaria, commonly known as wheal, is a common skin disease. Various factors cause temporary inflammatory congestion and large amounts of fluid exudation in the blood vessels of the skin and mucous membranes. Causes local edema damage. It occurs and disappears rapidly and is extremely itchy. There may be fever, abdominal pain, diarrhea or other systemic symptoms. It can be divided into acute urticaria, chronic urticaria, angioedema and papular urticaria. The first step of treatment is to eliminate the cause of the disease. Western medicine can use anti-allergic drugs such as chlorpheniramine, Claritin, ketotifen or some hormones. Chinese medicine requires syndrome differentiation and treatment.

Urticaria, commonly known as hives, is a common skin disease. Urticaria can be divided into acute and chronic types. Acute urticaria usually starts with itching of the skin all over the body, followed by the appearance of wheals of varying sizes that are bright red or pale. This type of wheal often occurs suddenly, disappears within a few minutes to a few hours or a dozen hours, leaves no trace, and can recur several times a day. Some patients experience abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting; some patients also have fevers of varying degrees; in severe cases, they may experience shortness of breath, wheezing, difficulty breathing, and even shock symptoms such as pale complexion and low blood pressure. Acute urticaria will stop after a few days to 1-2 weeks.

Chronic urticaria generally does not cause fever, nausea, vomiting, or asthma, but only skin wheals and itching, and the course of the disease can last for several months or even years. The causes of urticaria are many and complex. There are fish, shrimp, crabs, animal feathers, pollen, mushrooms, nettles, medicines, sunlight, bacteria, parasites, etc. In daily life, people come into contact with too many objects and eat too many foods, making it difficult to identify the cause of the disease, which causes some people to suffer from measles repeatedly. This disease can be treated with antihistamines such as diphenhydramine, chlorpheniramine, and cyproheptadine. If the systemic symptoms are severe, prednisone and dexamethasone can be used.

Antibiotics are only used for children with secondary local or lymph node infections. 2. Local treatment is the main treatment method. In the acute stage, use 1% to 4% boric acid solution for external washing or wet compress for 15 minutes, and then apply Reforol ointment. In the subacute stage, use 1% to 4% boric acid solution for external washing, and then use calamine lotion to relieve itching and inflammation. Apply vitamin B6 ointment and sulfone paste. In the chronic stage, use Fubao externally.
