Uterine fibroids are a relatively common gynecological disease in women. Generally speaking, they are benign tumors, which are mainly caused by endocrine disorders. If the uterine fibroids are relatively small, they generally do not require special treatment. Regular observation and routine maintenance are sufficient. Of course, if they are relatively large, surgical treatment is required. This type of surgery is not a major operation. After surgical resection, the treatment effect on the patient is relatively good. Uterine fibroid surgery Abdominal myomectomy is suitable for women under 40 years old, who are unmarried or childless, and who do not want to have children but do not want to have their uterus removed and want to keep their uterus. The advantages are that preserving the uterus does not affect ovarian function; there is a chance of pregnancy for those who desire fertility; and the integrity of the female endocrine axis can be maintained. The postoperative recurrence rate is 25% to 35%. Possible reasons include that small fibroids are missed during surgery and gradually grow larger after surgery. In addition, the patient has fibroid pathogenic factors and new fibroids occur. The recurrence rate of multiple fibroids is higher than that of single fibroids. Postoperative precautions Gynecologists point out that daily skin care after hysterectomy is no different from general women's care. A regular lifestyle, healthy eating habits, and regular skin care are all scientific ways of daily care. 1. Eat less oily, fried, smoked or grilled foods. 2. Eat more vegetables and fruits, especially tomatoes. Eat nutritious foods. 3. If you have anemia, eat more foods high in iron, such as pork liver, black sesame, grapes, seaweed, wolfberry, shiitake mushrooms, etc. 4. Follow-up should be conducted monthly from 1 to 3 months after uterine fibroid surgery, then every 3 months for 1 year, and every 6 months for 2 years. A little vaginal bleeding and discharge one month after surgery is normal. Do not apply hot compresses on the day of lower abdominal pain and anal swelling after uterine fibroid surgery, etc. 5. Refrain from sexual intercourse for one month and avoid strenuous exercise. 6. Pay attention to personal hygiene. Stay in bed more often. Postoperative Care Diet and body position care The patient should take a semi-recumbent position 6 hours after returning to the ward. He can eat high-calorie, high-protein, high-vitamin easily digestible semi-liquid diet, avoid eating sugar, gas-producing food and spicy and irritating food, and strengthen nutrition, improve the body's resistance, stimulate intestinal peristalsis, and reduce the occurrence of postoperative intestinal adhesions. He should eat small meals frequently. Encourage patients to get out of bed and move around early. Abdominal wall puncture care Observe the abdominal wall puncture hole daily for bleeding or exudation, keep the wound clean and the dressing dry. If the wound pain is severe, analgesics can be used appropriately, or patient-controlled analgesia techniques can be applied. Antibiotics should be used early after surgery to prevent infection. Catheter and perineum care After the operation, keep the catheter unobstructed and the perineum clean, and disinfect the perineum with 0.5% iodine cotton balls twice a day. Explain to the patient the benefits of self-urination, encourage the patient to urinate on his own, and observe the urine color and amount in the catheter. Psychological care Uterine fibroids are benign lesions. Hysterectomy can cure anemia, eliminate abdominal pain, and relieve compression symptoms. But there is no need to worry about a loss of libido, because the surgery still preserves the ovaries, the gonadal organs, and their functions will not be reduced. At the same time, we should also provide psychological counseling to the family members, so that they can care and be considerate of his wife, so as to speed up the patient's recovery after surgery and be discharged from the hospital as soon as possible. |
