What to eat after phimosis surgery

Nowadays, many boys are prone to phimosis problems. In cases like phimosis, people will not undergo surgery unless there is a special impact. However, when they learn that it may cause developmental problems during puberty or affect fertility later, and easily lead to bacterial infection, they will choose surgical treatment. They must pay attention right after the operation, as this has become a habit.

Diet and health care

1. Before circumcision, there are no special dietary requirements.

2. Within one week after circumcision, you should eat more nutritious foods, such as meat, fish, eggs, etc., which will help the incision grow.

Preventive Care

1. Before circumcision, pay attention to the local cleanliness of the penis and wash it frequently. If the foreskin cannot be turned up, do not force it to turn over. If the foreskin can be turned up for cleaning, it should be restored to its original position after cleaning to avoid incarcerated phimosis.

2. If circumcision is performed, the penis should be cleaned with warm water or 1:5000 concentration potassium permanganate solution 3 days before the operation. In addition to paying attention to the above-mentioned medications after the operation to prevent penile erection bleeding and inflammation, you should also pay attention to the dryness of the bandages. If they are soaked with urine, they should be replaced in time. Generally, the stitches are removed 5-7 days after the operation.

Pathological etiology

The foreskin opening of some children is very small, which prevents the foreskin from retracting, hindering the development of the glans penis and even the entire penis. The external opening of the urethra is often small, and sometimes the foreskin opening is as small as a pinhole, resulting in difficulty in urination. In children with phimosis, secretions accumulate under the foreskin, which often irritates the mucous membrane and may cause balanoposthitis.

Acquired phimosis is often secondary to balanoposthitis and damage to the foreskin and glans penis. The foreskin opening will have scar contracture, the skin will lose its elasticity and expansion ability, the foreskin cannot retract upward, and it is often accompanied by urethral stenosis. This type of phimosis will not heal on its own.
