Is there any cure for hereditary eye wandering that starts at the age of 9?

Hereditary eye drift means that the patient can always see some erratic black shadows in his eyes, sometimes one, sometimes two, and sometimes countless, flying around in front of the eyes, making him feel tired and helpless. This is a kind of floaters, which can be recovered through examination and treatment. Early treatment will lead to better recovery.

Floaters are a particularly common eye disease. The main feature of this disease is that black spots appear in front of the patient's eyes and fly around with the rotation of the eyeball, but they can never be caught or hit, just like floating mosquitoes, so it is called floaters in medicine. Floaters are a very special and common eye disease, and most people with this symptom are middle-aged and elderly people.

People with high myopia, those who have undergone cataract surgery, and other conditions such as intraocular inflammation or retinal vascular disease may also develop this disease. So what are the diagnostic criteria for floaters? Let me introduce them to you below:

1. Physiological floaters: Two or three black shadows fly back and forth in front of your eyes, sometimes you can see them and sometimes you can’t. When people are very tired, they will feel the movement of mosquitoes is particularly obvious. When older people have floaters, the feeling will be stronger and more obvious than that of middle-aged people.

This type of floaters is benign and is called physiological floaters. Experts believe that about 80% of floaters are caused by hydration of vitreous fibers and are physiological floaters.

Physiological floaters do not pose a risk of blindness, and usually, unless there are major problems, doctors will advise you to ignore them and they will not be a problem until old age.

2. Pathological floaters: Pathological floaters have three characteristics: 1. Abnormal flashes. 2. The number of floaters increases over a short period of time 3. The vision feels blocked. Pathological floaters are generally caused by serious diseases and are due to lesions in the retina, optic nerve, ciliary body and other structures near the vitreous, which lead to changes in the vitreous. The sudden appearance of a large number of floaters, a large number of flashes, distorted vision, straight lines becoming crooked, faces becoming distorted, and other strange phenomena, the mosquitoes flying in an uncertain direction, black shadows blocking the field of vision, poor vision, and visual field defects are all bad omens that must be paid attention to. They indicate that the vitreous body may be undergoing acute degeneration or that the retina is in danger of having a hole. You should see an ophthalmologist as soon as possible to check your retina. If the diagnosis is confirmed, surgery is often required.

Pathological floaters are a manifestation of disease, mostly caused by moderate to high myopia, internal eye bleeding, inflammation, etc. Generally speaking, these causes can be discovered through simple examinations and require treatment targeted at the cause to recover. However, there is no known cause for physiological floaters and no special treatment is required.

The above is an introduction to the diagnostic criteria for floaters. Many cases of floaters exist for a long time, remain unchanged throughout the year, do not affect vision, and no organic eye lesions are found after examination. They are not clinically important and there is no need to worry. Some elderly people suddenly see one or two dark shadows in front of their eyes without any other symptoms. This is often due to detachment of the posterior vitreous membrane and is generally not very harmful. I hope my reply can help everyone.
