Purulent ointment

Purulent ointment

If an injury is not treated in time, it will cause bacterial infection and cause pus to come out of the wound. Pus coming out of a wound is more serious than being injured, because it may leave scars or even cause a fever. Therefore, if you find that your wound has become festering, you must deal with it in time to avoid more serious consequences. So what ointments can you use to treat festering wounds?

1. First, observe the suppuration of the wound to determine whether the suppuration is serious, whether there are symptoms of internal suppuration, whether tissue necrosis has occurred, etc.

2. For patients with mild wound suppuration, they can take some anti-inflammatory drugs according to the doctor's instructions, and then use saline to rinse the wound. After washing the pus, you can use iodine to disinfect and sterilize.

Another method is to add ginger and salt into boiling water, wrap the festering wound with gauze, and steam the wound in the boiling water with salt until the water is no longer hot. This method is a simple steam method, which is clean and convenient and usually lasts about 5 minutes.

3. For some patients with more serious wound suppuration, long-term infection may cause tissue necrosis. For this type of wound suppuration, we need to first clean the patient's necrotic tissue to avoid worsening of the wound infection. After cleaning the pus, use saline solution to clean the wound and use drugs that can quickly repair the wound for treatment.

4. If you can feel water waves inside your wound, then the suppuration is very serious and you must go to the hospital to cut the wound open, release the pus inside and then disinfect it. If your wound only has some redness around it, then you don't have to worry, as this is a sign that the wound is about to heal.

Note:

Once the wound becomes festered, it is forbidden to use powder medicines. Powder medicines are not conducive to the healing of the wound, and will also cause pus and medicines to mix together, leading to poor healing.

In short, if a wound becomes festering, it must be treated actively. Choose the correct treatment method according to the condition of your wound, so that the wound can be cured better and faster.
