What is the cause of the pimple in the knee?

The main function of the human leg is to support the person to walk upright. The main parts of the leg are the thigh and calf. There is a joint called the knee between the thigh and the calf, which connects the thigh and the calf. Some people will find hard lumps around their knees and bends, and these hard lumps are usually caused by illness. So what disease causes hard lumps at the bend of the knee?

What are the symptoms of a pimple on the knee?

First: A boil starts as a small red lump that gradually gets bigger and filled with pus. A cyst is a cyst formed due to the accumulation of sebaceous glands in the gland after the sebaceous gland duct is blocked. For the bumps on the legs, the initial consideration is still furuncle. If the inflammation is not controlled, it may turn into cyst. If you still feel pain after entering this stage, you can use anti-inflammatory ointment such as Bactroban. If it turns into a cyst, it may require surgical removal.

Second: Furuncles are large red masses formed when hair follicles are infected by bacteria. Furuncles often occur in areas of the body that are under pressure, such as the neck collar or buttocks. During the formation process of boils, there is often severe throbbing pain, especially if the boils grow on the forehead or jaw where the skin tissue is dense and the tension is high, the pain will be more severe. Generally, after one or two days, a pus plug will form in the center of the red swelling, and it will burst on its own after two or three days. Some boils may disappear on their own without rupturing. Although boils are not a very serious disease, because the hair follicles are closely adjacent to each other, if the boils that have already grown are not treated in time, they will not only be extremely painful, but will also easily cause infection of the surrounding skin and cause more boils to grow.

Third: Sebaceous cysts, commonly known as "sebaceous cysts", are mostly distributed in the skin or subcutaneous tissue of the head, trunk or genitals. They are adhered to nearby tissues and can be pushed. It is mainly caused by the obstruction of the sebaceous gland excretion duct, which causes the sebaceous gland cystic epithelium to swell with the gradually increasing contents to form a retention cyst. It is characterized by a slowly growing benign lesion. There is white bean curd-like secretion in the cyst. Sebaceous cysts protrude from the surface of the skin and generally have no subjective symptoms. However, they may cause pain and suppuration when secondary infection occurs. Cancer may also occur. Treatment should be surgical resection.

Whether it is a cyst or a furuncle, it has its own characteristics and properties. So the next step is obvious, which is to receive good treatment, find the best treatment method, and get rid of the disease as soon as possible. We also see that if the disease is not treated in time and secondary infection occurs, the consequences may be unimaginable.
