What kind of physical therapy device is good for synovitis

Physiotherapy equipment is a high-tech product because many of the principles used in physiotherapy equipment are related to high technology. Various types of physical therapy devices are very common on the market, and different physical therapy devices should be used for different disease conditions. For example, if you have cervical spondylosis, you need to use a cervical vertebra therapy device, and if you have lumbar spondylosis, you need to use a lumbar vertebra therapy device. There is no special synovial physiotherapy device for synovitis, so what physiotherapy device should be used when synovitis occurs?

The knee joint is the most complex joint in the human body. The site of synovitis is mainly limited to the knee joint. The knee joint is mainly composed of the lower end of the femur, the tibial plateau and the patella, and contains the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments, the medial and lateral collateral ligaments, and the patellar ligament. Its structure is extremely complex. Because there are many synovial membranes in the knee joint, synovitis is prone to occur when the knee joint is impacted by external force, causing pain, limited function, difficulty walking, and loss of labor in patients. It is a chronic disease with recurring symptoms. It is necessary to seek medical treatment promptly, and the main way is to go to the rehabilitation department or orthopedic department of a regular hospital, so as to detect and treat the disease early, restore joint function as soon as possible, and resume normal work and life.

Steps/Methods:

1. Diagnosis: The typical clinical manifestation of knee synovitis is joint effusion. The knee is slightly swollen and asymmetrical compared to the healthy side. A routine simple examination is the floating patella test. Due to the effusion in the knee, there will be a certain floating feeling when pressing the patella. When the amount of effusion is relatively small, an MRI examination is required to confirm the diagnosis.

2. Clinically, the treatment of knee synovitis mainly relies on physical therapy and exercise therapy. When the patient's pain is extremely severe, injection can be chosen. In the acute phase, the physiotherapy department uses ultrashort waves, microwaves, ultrasound, etc. to eliminate inflammation in a timely manner and promote the absorption of accumulated fluid. While waiting for the amount of effusion to be significantly reduced and the pain to be significantly relieved, you can choose infrared therapy, wax therapy, medium frequency therapy, etc. to further promote the absorption of inflammation.

3. In addition, traditional Chinese medicine also has a good effect in treating synovitis. For example, acupuncture can be used at the knee point, Dubi point, Yinlingquan point, Zusanli point, etc. Local fumigation of Chinese medicine can promote blood circulation, reduce inflammation and relieve pain, and help to restore the function of the knee joint as soon as possible.

Note:

Be sure to move your knee joint appropriately after the pain is relieved, but avoid strenuous exercise that may cause secondary damage to the knee joint. At the same time, the knee joint is the main weight-bearing joint of the human body. In order to protect the knee joint, you must avoid excessive obesity, avoid squatting for a long time, pay attention to keeping the knees warm, and use knee pads in winter.
