Fuzi Banxia Decoction

The prescription is 1 liang of Chuanfu, 1 liang of ginger, 2 liang of Pinellia, and 2 liang of dried tangerine peel (remove the white part).

Differences from Aconitum: Leaves are thinner and herbaceous, with central lobes acuminate or long acuminate at the apex, and lobules narrower; inflorescence axis is very short, so the inflorescence often resembles an umbel. Distributed in northeastern Jiangxi, northwestern Zhejiang, and southern Anhui (Huangshan). It lives in mountains with an altitude of 1000 meters. The root tuber is used as medicine to treat injuries from falls, swellings and other diseases, and can also be used as arrow poison (Medicinal Flora of Tianmu Mountain, Zhejiang).

107c.(Variant) Aconitum kusnezoffii (Zhejiang)

The central lobe of the leaf is rhombic, with an acute apex. Distributed in northern Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, and southern Liaoning. Grown on mountain grass slopes, forest edges or in thickets. The type specimen was collected from Qingdao, Shandong.

107d. Aconitum carmichaelii (variant), Aconitum kusnezoffii (Yanmao, Gansu), Aconitum carmichaelii, Aconitum kusnezoffii (Shaanxi)

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 12:685.1965. Difference from Aconitum: The stems and back of leaves are densely covered with short soft hairs. The central lobe of the leaf is acute at the apex. It is produced in the Qinling Mountains in southeastern Gansu and southwestern Shaanxi. Grown on mountain grass slopes.

107e. Aconitum lobata (variant)

The difference from Aconitum: The palmate division of the leaves does not reach the base, but only 0.5-1.5 cm from the base. The central lobe of the leaf is acute at the apex. Produced in Nanjing and Jurong, Jiangsu Province. Grown on mountain grass slopes, beside pine forests or in thickets.

Effects

1. Treat irregular menstruation

Peel the cooked aconite root and take an equal amount of angelica root together. Take three grams each time and boil it in water.

2. Treat turbid urine

Take cooked aconite, grind it into powder, take two coins each time, add three slices of ginger and a cup of water, boil until six parts are left, and take it after it is warm.

3. Treat urinary retention

Take an aconite root, roast it, remove the skin and navel, soak it in salt water for a while, take one or two ounces of Alisma orientalis, take four qian each time, add one and a half cups of water and half a stem of rush, and decoct it before drinking.

4. Treat pain in ten fingers

If you feel numbness in your fingers, you can take raw aconite, peel the navel, take equal parts of costus root and five slices of ginger, add water and boil them for drinking.
