In fact, for different people, when dealing with shoulder pain, because shoulder pain may be caused by different reasons, all shoulder pain cannot be treated with the same method. Only by finding the cause of your own shoulder pain can you better treat shoulder pain.

What is the cause of shoulder pain? Shoulder pain can be caused by a combination of various reasons. Common causes of shoulder pain are:

1. Shoulder muscle spasms: The causes of muscle spasms are - local cold, long-term work with the head down, long-term computer operation, incorrect sitting posture, etc. Because of maintaining a certain posture for a long time, the muscles are always in a tense state, which can easily cause shoulder pain.

2. Cervical spondylosis - can cause shoulder pain, known as cervical shoulder syndrome. The most common symptom is cervical nerve root compression. The pain is usually not severe and may be accompanied by numbness and weakness of the limbs, but the joint function is not obviously restricted. Examination shows the presence of cervical spondylosis.

3. Periarthritis of the shoulder: The shoulder joint is the joint with the largest range of motion in the human body. Degenerative changes occur with age, and because the shoulder joint moves frequently in daily life, it is prone to chronic strain and periarthritis of the shoulder.

In the acute stage of frozen shoulder, shoulder joint pain is the main symptom. The symptoms are often lighter during the day and heavier at night. At the same time, there are varying degrees of joint dysfunction, especially during the adhesion or recovery period, which often affects daily life, such as lifting objects, eating, dressing, washing face and combing hair, etc.

You can take a cervical spine X-ray. First, you need to rule out cervical bone hyperplasia. If there is no obvious cervical compression, you can treat it as frozen shoulder or muscle spasm.

So, as to what causes shoulder pain, it may have a lot to do with daily living habits, etc. Therefore, you must develop good living habits and stick to proper exercise to stay away from shoulder pain. Once shoulder pain occurs, if it persists and cannot be improved, it is best to go to the hospital for necessary examinations, understand the cause, and receive targeted treatment.
