What are the symptoms of gynecological tuberculosis

Many female friends may have a certain understanding of the symptoms of gynecological tuberculosis. Generally, there will be tuberculosis infection in the uterus or fallopian tube, etc. These tuberculosis infections should be treated in a timely manner. There are many symptoms of gynecological tuberculosis. Female friends should understand how to take care of themselves and pay attention to the hygiene of their private parts.

1.1. Tuberculosis infection of the uterus: mainly in the endometrium, which can cause endometrial hyperplasia or ulcers; in severe cases, most of the endometrium is destroyed and amenorrhea occurs, leading to infertility.

1.2. Tubal tuberculosis: It is a common disease and can cause both sides of the fallopian tubes to become thicker and harder, destroy the cilia on the mucosal surface of the fallopian tubes, cause adhesions on the tube walls, block the lumen, and cause the tubes to lose their normal functions and become infertile.

1.3. Tuberculosis of the cervix: Superficial ulcers occur on the surface of the cervix, sometimes presenting as nipple or cauliflower-like hyperplasia, which can increase leucorrhea and cause contact bleeding.

1.4. Tuberculosis of the vulva and vagina: It manifests as superficial ulcers, either single or multiple. Ulcers are painful and do not heal over time, sometimes forming sinus tracts.

1.5. Ovarian tuberculosis: It is less common and mainly occurs as periovaricitis. If it is caused by hematogenous infection, it may form caseous necrosis deep in the ovary or even form an abscess. The above are types of gynecological tuberculosis. You can check whether you have gynecological tuberculosis based on your own situation.

2. How to take care of gynecological tuberculosis

2.1. Self-care for gynecological tuberculosis

If the patient has active pulmonary tuberculosis, disinfection and isolation should be carried out at home to cut off the transmission route. For example, bowls and chopsticks must be separated and boiled for disinfection every day; tables, chairs and floors must be wiped frequently; bedding must be dried frequently and clean sheets must be replaced; windows must be opened for ventilation every day to keep the indoor air fresh.

2.2 Self-care for gynecological tuberculosis

Maintain normal sleep. During the acute phase of tuberculosis, patients must stay in bed and rest, and light activities can be carried out after the condition stabilizes. Tuberculosis patients with hemoptysis should eliminate tension, rest in bed and go to a specialist hospital in time.

2.3. Self-care for gynecological tuberculosis

Tuberculosis patients keep their airways open. If there is phlegm that needs to be discharged in time, you can use methods such as changing body position and patting the back to make the phlegm discharged smoothly; if the phlegm cannot be coughed up, you can follow the doctor's advice to use drug nebulization inhalation to help cough up the phlegm.

3. How to treat gynecological tuberculosis

Genital tuberculosis, like tuberculosis of other organs, is a chronic wasting disease. The strength of the body's immune function plays an important role in controlling the development of the disease, promoting lesion healing, and preventing recurrence after drug treatment. Therefore, patients in the acute phase need to rest in bed for at least 3 months. After the lesion is suppressed, you can engage in light activities, but you should also pay attention to rest, increase nutrition and vitamin-rich foods, get enough sleep at night, and be in a good spirit. Infertile women should be comforted and encouraged in particular to relieve their worries, so as to facilitate the recovery of their overall health.
