What to do if you are poisoned by aconitine

What to do if you are poisoned by aconitine

There are many things in life that you need to pay attention to. Many people will make irreparable mistakes due to carelessness, leading to lifelong regrets, such as gas poisoning, pesticide poisoning, etc. Life is precious. Without life, there is nothing. Among them, aconitine poisoning incidents occur repeatedly. Aconitine is a toxic component existing in plants such as Aconitum kusnezoffii and Aconite. So what should we do if we are poisoned by aconitine?

Aconite poisoning can cause numbness of the whole body and a sense of restraint, which can easily cause arrhythmia and damage the nerves. The symptoms include numbness of the limbs, vagus nerve center, shortness of breath, etc., which can be life-threatening. Therefore, it is necessary to attract the attention of the general public and treat aconite poisoning in time.

Mild poisoning by aconitine drugs may improve on its own after stopping the drug, but severe poisoning requires emergency treatment. Stop taking medications containing aconitine immediately.

In the early stage, vomiting, gastric lavage and catharsis should be induced immediately. Gastric lavage solution can be potassium permanganate solution and acid solution. The catharsis agent can be injected into the stomach tube through sodium sulfate or magnesium sulfate solution after gastric lavage, or high-level colon irrigation with 2% saline can be used. Give plenty of fluids to promote excretion of toxins.

For patients with slow heartbeat and arrhythmia, atropine 1-2 mg can be injected subcutaneously or intramuscularly. The injection can be repeated every 4-6 hours. In severe cases, atropine 0.5 mg can be added to glucose solution and slowly injected intravenously.

Symptomatic treatment: If arrhythmia cannot be corrected after treatment with atropine, antiarrhythmic drugs (such as lidocaine) can be used.

Those with low blood pressure may be given pressor drugs. Respiratory depression, heart failure, etc. can be treated with appropriate measures.

The above are the treatment methods for aconite poisoning. When you find that you have aconite poisoning, first of all, don’t panic. You should immediately wash your stomach and induce diarrhea to give the stomach some relief. If the condition is serious, you should be sent to the hospital for treatment in time and get good treatment. In life, you must always be aware of the side effects of Chinese herbal medicine, strengthen publicity, pay attention to life, and pay attention to health.
