The symptom of AIDS tongue is also called thrush. Oral thrush often occurs in infants and young children, but it is relatively rare for adults to have such a large-scale Candida infection. There is a long and complicated process from HIV infection to onset of the disease. The infected person has no obvious symptoms for a long period of time before developing AIDS, but most infected people may have various oral lesions in the early stages, including oral Candida infection, hairy leukoplakia, Kaposi's sarcoma, oral viral infection, etc. A white coating on the tongue is not necessarily a symptom of AIDS tongue. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, if the tongue coating appears thick or white, and there are no other discomfort symptoms in the body, it is generally considered to be a manifestation of "getting angry". This condition often leads to an unpleasant odor in the mouth or even bad breath. Therefore, it is recommended that you use a toothbrush to gently brush your tongue coating when brushing your teeth, and it is best to eat light food.
