Types of thyroid disease:

Subacute thyroiditis: The typical manifestation is thyroid pain, which usually starts on the side of the thyroid gland and soon bleeds in other places and ears and chin, often accompanied by discomfort, fatigue, muscle pain, and fever. The disease reaches a peak in 3-4 days and subsides within 1 week. There are also many patients with slow disease, which fluctuates in 1-2 weeks and lasts for 3-6 weeks. After improvement, it may relapse several times within a few months. The volume of the thyroid gland has increased by more than 2-3 times when it is normal. When touched, about half of patients with hyperthyroidism will have obvious pain in tenderness.

Hashimoto's thyroiditis: The onset is slow, and when it occurs, there is usually a thyroid enlargement with clear boundaries. Some patients may have compression symptoms. There is often no special feeling in the early stage, and thyroid function may be normal. In a few patients, transient hyperthyroidism can be discovered in the early stage. In most cases, thyroid function occurs. Patients often present with coldness, edema, fatigue, dry skin, abdominal distension, constipation, irregular menstruation, and loss of libido.
