Low white blood cells

Low white blood cells

White blood cells are an important type of blood cell in the human body. Human blood also contains some other types of red blood cells. Platelets and white blood cells. White blood cells mainly serve as the immune system to help the human body resist and prevent foreign diseases and some infectious diseases. At the same time, the white blood cells may also suffer from other types of diseases. Therefore, we must pay attention to it in time in our daily life. White blood cells have many functions in life.

Clinically, it mainly focuses on defense and care and prevention of some diseases. White blood cells will produce some relatively low values. The main symptoms of leukocytosis are asthenia and fatigue syndrome.

. White blood cells are a type of blood cell with a nucleus. The normal blood cell count is 4000-10000/μL (microliter). The number of white blood cells in the blood varies greatly at different times of the day and in different functional states of the body. When the number exceeds 10,000 per microliter, it is called leukocytosis; when the number is less than 4,000 per microliter, it is called leukopenia. Leukocytosis occurs when the body is inflamed (i.e., inflamed); leukocytosis can be hereditary, familial, acquired, etc. The majority of them are acquired. Drugs, radiation, infection, toxins, etc. can all cause granulocytopenia, with drug-induced granulocytosis being the most common. Avoiding medication is to avoid leukopenia caused by the medication.

Leukopenia refers to a group of symptoms caused by a sustained decrease in the number of peripheral white blood cells. Typical symptoms include dizziness, fatigue, soreness and weakness of limbs, loss of appetite, mental depression and low fever, which fall into the category of "deficiency and fatigue" in traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine treats leukocytopenia by invigorating qi and nourishing blood, tonifying the kidney and replenishing essence, and strengthening the spleen and nourishing the stomach.

Common causes of low white blood cell count include viral infection, typhoid fever, and medication. If the granulocytopenia is caused by drugs, the drugs should be stopped immediately and appropriate anti-leukocytogenic drugs should be used, such as colony stimulating factor (CsF), lithium carbonate, madder diepoxide, polyantigen A, etc. Stop exposure to radiation or other chemical toxins. Caused by hypersplenism, prone to recurrent and severe infection, splenectomy may be performed.

The above is the phenomenon of low white blood cell count, which may be caused by viral infection, typhoid fever, etc., or by drugs. It mainly serves as the immune system to help the human body resist and prevent foreign diseases and some infectious diseases. At the same time, white blood cells can also suffer from other types of diseases, resulting in some causes. Therefore, according to different pathogenesis and some different causes of disease, some treatment plans and prevention of white blood cell reduction are adopted.
