For example, in acute endolymphatic hydrops, the static displacement of the basilar membrane may cause displacement between the tectorial membrane and the spiral organ, which will excessively stretch the fragile connection between the cilia and the tectorial membrane. Since the greatest displacement of the basilar membrane is in the cochlear apex area that receives low-pitched sounds, low-pitched tinnitus can occur. In addition, damage to the cochlear hair cells, or damage and misplaced growth of the cochlear afferent and efferent nerve endings, can cause tinnitus.

When tinnitus occurs clinically, we should not be anxious, because there are many causes of tinnitus, and this disease is actually not very difficult to treat.
