What to do about tinnitus

What to do about tinnitus

After a disease like tinnitus occurs, there are actually many classifications of this type of tinnitus, not just one. There is still no unified classification of tinnitus in clinical practice. However, we have found that many friends suffer from tinnitus in clinical practice. What should we do if we have tinnitus? Let’s take a look at the following knowledge and suggestions.

What should we do about tinnitus? Before treatment, we must have a reasonable understanding of the symptoms of tinnitus and know what type of disease it is. After that, we can carry out reasonable treatment for the tinnitus disease. This is the best way to cure tinnitus as soon as possible. We cannot be careless in these situations.

There are many causes of tinnitus, and various ear diseases can cause tinnitus, such as cerumen embolism, otitis media, otosclerosis, acoustic trauma, Meniere's disease and acoustic neuroma. Hypertension, hypotension, anemia, leukemia, kidney disease, toxemia, neurosis, jugular glomus tumor and aneurysm can also cause tinnitus.

Pathogenesis. There is a certain form of connection between the hair cells and the tectorial membrane of the cochlea. If there is partial separation between the cilia and the tectorial membrane, the sound level received by the hair cells will increase, and tinnitus may be felt. For example, in acute endolymphatic hydrops, the static displacement of the basilar membrane may cause displacement between the tectorial membrane and the spiral organ, which will excessively stretch the fragile connection between the cilia and the tectorial membrane. Since the greatest displacement of the basilar membrane is in the cochlear apex area that receives low-pitched sounds, low-pitched tinnitus can occur. In addition, damage to the cochlear hair cells, or damage and misplaced growth of the cochlear afferent and efferent nerve endings, can cause tinnitus.

When tinnitus occurs clinically, we should not be anxious, because there are many causes of tinnitus, and this disease is actually not very difficult to treat. However, if we ignore the reasonable diagnosis and treatment measures of the disease and blindly treat such diseases, the consequences will be disastrous.
