What causes cold calves?

The calves of some people are not prone to getting cold easily, and they do not feel any obvious temperature when touched. They are in a warm state. However, the calves of some people feel cold to the touch. This type of condition is mainly treated with conservative and surgical methods. The cold calves may be caused by poor blood circulation in the lower limbs. Arterial stenosis, arterial blockage, etc. cannot be ruled out. Cold calves are everywhere, and it is necessary to find the cause and actively adjust and treat them.

How to treat cold calves

For cold calves, the usual treatment methods are conservative treatment and surgical treatment. Usually, there are two main reasons for cold calves. The first thing is to feel something abnormal, which is common in lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spinal stenosis and cervical spondylosis.

It is necessary to actively complete the MRI examination of the cervical spine and the lumbar spine. If it is spinal cervical spondylotic myelopathy, active surgical treatment is required. Conservative treatment is meaningless. After surgical treatment, nerve nutrition treatment is needed to recover.

For patients with lumbar disc herniation and lumbar spinal stenosis, if the compression on the nerves is relieved, nerve nutrition treatment is required after nerve surgery. In addition, some brain diseases can also cause cold calves, which also require examination and brain cell nourishing drug treatment. Another reason is that there are abnormal changes in local blood vessels, such as arterial stenosis and arterial blockage.

There are two main reasons for cold calves.

The first is sensory abnormality, which is often seen in lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spinal stenosis, cervical spondylosis, etc. It is necessary to actively complete cervical spine MRI examination or lumbar spine MRI examination. If it is spinal cord lumbar spondylosis, active surgical treatment is required. Conservative treatment is meaningless. Surgical treatment requires nerve nutrition therapy, and it may be possible to recover.

Another reason is that abnormal changes in local blood vessels, such as arterial stenosis, arterial embolism, etc., cause insufficient blood supply to the calf, or even degeneration of blood supply response, which can also cause local coldness. This situation requires active surgical treatment, dilation of blood vessels, or even removal of blood vessels and then anastomosis.

Patients should eat more nutritious, light and easily digestible foods, and more fresh fruits and vegetables to supplement the nutrients they need.
