The dangers of high uric acid

The dangers of high uric acid

There are many common problems. If you want to solve them well, you must choose the right method. The same is true for treating diseases. You need to have a comprehensive understanding of the symptoms, causes, and hazards of the disease. Only in this way can you know what kind of treatment method is the best choice. At the same time, it will not have any impact on the patient's health. So what are the dangers of high uric acid? Many people are not clear about it.

Many people do not fully understand the dangers of high uric acid levels, and when high uric acid levels occur, they must cooperate with treatment. This will be of great help in stabilizing the patient's disease and improving the disease.

Dangers of high uric acid:

Uric acid is a product of purine metabolism in the human body. There are two sources of purine in the human body. The endogenous source depends on self-synthesis or nucleic acid degradation (about 600 mg/d), accounting for about 80% of the total uric acid in the body; the exogenous source is the intake of purine diet (about 100 mg/d), accounting for about 20% of the total uric acid in the body. It can be seen that the blood uric acid level is also greatly affected by diet. Under physiological conditions, the body's uric acid pool is 1200 mg, about 750 mg of uric acid is produced every day, and about 800~1000 mg is excreted, of which 30% is excreted from the intestines and bile duct, and 70% is excreted through the kidneys. The kidney is an important organ for uric acid excretion. If the renal creatinine clearance rate decreases by 5% to 25%, it can lead to hyperuricemia (HUA). Under normal circumstances, the body's daily production and excretion of uric acid basically maintain a dynamic balance. Any factors that affect the production and excretion of serum uric acid can lead to an increase in serum uric acid levels. The maximum solubility of uric acid in the blood is 420 μmol/L. If this value is exceeded, urate will easily precipitate into crystals and deposit in tissues and cause inflammatory lesions, such as deposition in joints, causing the well-known gouty arthritis.

It is generally believed that asymptomatic hyperuricemia does not require treatment. But it doesn't mean we should just ignore it, because hyperuricemia is abnormal after all. Persistent high blood uric acid may cause uric acid crystals and urate crystals to deposit in the renal pelvis, ureter or renal tubules and renal interstitium, causing kidney damage and causing kidney stones. Therefore, the cause of high blood uric acid should be sought, such as diuretics, antihypertensive drugs, chemotherapy drugs and other drug factors, as well as kidney disease, blood disease, diabetes, etc., to find out the cause. At the same time, obesity, high-purine and high-calorie diet, alcoholism, excessive fatigue, mental stress, trauma, dampness and coldness and other inducing factors should be avoided. Lowering blood uric acid is beneficial and harmless.

Through the above introduction, we have a good understanding of the hazards of high uric acid. When such a problem occurs, it will cause the above problems, so it is necessary to carry out treatment in a timely manner. However, it should be noted that the choice of treatment method for this type of disease is also very important, which will be of great help in improving high uric acid.
