Computer users must know that sitting for a long time can easily lead to eight diseases

Although they work from nine to five, many people want to be better at work, so they work overtime and sit for eight hours or even more. So, have you ever thought about the impact of long-term sitting on your body? Not only that, some computer users not only have to face the harm of long-term sitting but also the impact of radiation. Here we will introduce the eight major diseases that computer users are prone to due to long periods of sitting, and we hope it will attract your attention.

1. Cervical spondylosis

Computer operation causes the person's head to lack activity and remain in the same posture for a long time, which can lead to compensatory hyperplasia of the cervical vertebrae over time. Cervical spondylosis can compress nerve roots, causing periarthritis of the shoulder and limited upper limb movement. In severe cases, the patient cannot take care of himself. Cervical spondylosis can also cause compression of the vertebral artery that supplies the occipital part of the brain, causing abnormal blood supply to the occipital part of the brain and symptoms such as dizziness, headache, and memory loss.

2. Eye diseases

Sitting in front of the computer for a long time, because you see close objects, the ciliary muscles are forced to be in a contracted and tense state, which makes the lens convex to adapt to seeing close objects. If the eyes are in a tense state for a long time without rest, it will cause myopia. Excessive visual fatigue can also cause obstruction of aqueous humor flow, leading to glaucoma. Therefore, when operating a computer, it is advisable to move your eyes frequently and do eye exercises regularly.

3. Obesity

People who sit in front of the computer for a long time will have abnormal distribution of gravitational fat tissue due to lack of exercise. Fat accumulation in the lower abdomen and lower back can easily lead to centripetal obesity.

4. Varicose veins in the lower limbs

Due to lack of activity, the pressure in the lower limb veins that rely on skeletal muscle contraction for blood flow will increase. Long-term dilation of the venous lumen will cause functional insufficiency of the venous valves, which will eventually develop into organic insufficiency, leading to varicose veins in the lower limbs.

5. Neurasthenia

People who use computers for a long time may develop more serious symptoms of neurasthenia, such as emotional instability, irritability, anger, dizziness, headache, insomnia and forgetfulness.

6. Hemorrhoids

Increased abdominal pressure and lack of activity can cause poor venous return around the anus, leading to tortuosity of the rectal venous plexus. Combined with dry stools, this can easily lead to hemorrhoids.

7. Lumbar disc herniation

Long-term forward-leaning posture coupled with lack of activity can easily lead to lumbar spondylosis in computer operators, cause tension in the posterior longitudinal ligament, lose elasticity, cause lumbar disc herniation, and compress nerve roots. If the sciatic nerve is compressed, it can cause radicular sciatic pain, low back pain, lower limb pain, and movement disorders.

8. Computer addiction syndrome

The patient is like a drug addict and cannot live without a computer. If this continues for too long, personality abnormalities will occur, such as loneliness, eccentricity, indifference to colleagues around you and things happening at home and abroad, abnormal interpersonal relationships, and even personality abnormalities.

In addition, long-term computer operation can also induce or aggravate the following diseases, varicocele, arthritis, inguinal hernia, lower gastrointestinal tumors, spinal stenosis, etc.
