What is the reason for frequent bowel movements?

With the increase of life pressure and some carelessness in diet, some common gastrointestinal diseases will occur. A common gastrointestinal disease is increased frequency of bowel movements. However, increased frequency of bowel movements is not a common symptom of dysentery or diarrhea. It can lead to other types of systemic symptoms and some common diseases. Therefore, do not ignore symptoms such as gastrointestinal discomfort and make sure to treat and diagnose them in time.

An increase in the frequency of bowel movements is mainly a phenomenon of gastroenteritis, which is mainly inflammation of the gastric mucosa and intestinal mucosa. It is also a phenomenon of poisoning caused by food poisoning. The general manifestations are severe vomiting and diarrhea, as well as common abdominal pain, foot pain, fever and sweating.

1. Systemic symptoms: Chronic wasting symptoms, sallow complexion, lack of energy, laziness, weakness in the limbs, preference for warmth and fear of cold. For example, during the acute inflammatory phase, in addition to fever, symptoms of dehydration, acidosis, or shock and bleeding may be seen.

2. Gastrointestinal symptoms: intermittent abdominal pain, abdominal distension, abdominal pain and diarrhea are the main manifestations of this disease. It is especially prevalent when exposed to cold, eating greasy food, experiencing emotional fluctuations, or after being tired. The frequency of bowel movements increases, with several times or dozens of times a day, anal prolapse, and uncomfortable bowel movements. During acute attacks of chronic enteritis, high fever, abdominal cramps, nausea and vomiting, and urgent watery or sticky, frozen, bloody stools may occur.

3. Physical signs: long-term abdominal discomfort or dull pain in the lower abdomen. Physical examination may show mild tenderness, hyperactive bowel sounds, and rectal prolapse, mainly in the abdomen, around the umbilicus, or in the lower abdomen.

The above is the common reason for increased frequency of bowel movements. It is mainly acute gastroenteritis and chronic gastroenteritis. Gastroenteritis is a common disease in summer and autumn. It is more common in bacterial and viral infections. Therefore, it can mainly manifest in daily life as some upper gastrointestinal diarrhea. Diet and treatment are also more critical in daily life. Be sure to replenish the water in your body.
