What to do if you have continuous hiccups

What to do if you have continuous hiccups

In daily life, many people often have symptoms of continuous hiccups, and the main symptoms are diaphragm spasms, which belong to some lung function disorder syndromes. They are relatively common in daily life. The treatments in daily life are mainly some non-drug treatments and some general drug treatments. At the same time, some vitamin supplements can be taken in life. Continuous hiccups are also relatively common, and many people suffer from it.

For continuous hiccups, you must pay attention to some dietary adjustments and some drug treatments in daily life, eat more light foods, pay attention to dietary regularity, and eat reasonably according to the doctor's advice. A reasonable diet can prevent some primary diseases.

1. Non-drug treatment

(1) General treatment: For patients with long-lasting hiccups, holding their breath, drinking cold water, or repeated breathing can usually stop the hiccups.

(2) Acupuncture therapy: This method has been widely reported in China. For example, acupuncture of Shaoshang, Yingxiang, and bilateral Geshu points can achieve an effective rate of more than 90% in one session. Acupuncture of Zusanli, Sanyinjiao, Neiguan, and Taichong points can also be performed simultaneously to significantly improve the relief rate.

(3) Acupoint injection therapy

① Use a 5ml syringe and a No. 7 needle to draw out 100mg of vitamin B1 and 50mg of vitamin B6, and insert them vertically into the Neiguan acupoint. After the needle sensation is felt, quickly inject the medicine if no blood is drawn back. Inject 2ml into each acupoint. If ineffective, repeat once after 2 hours. The effective rate is 95.83%.

②After drawing out 0.5mg of atropine with a 5ml syringe, use a No. 7 needle to vertically insert it into the Zusanli acupoint 1.5cm to 2cm. After the patient feels soreness and swelling after strong stimulation, slowly inject 0.25mg. Use the same method to inject into the Zusanli acupoint on the other side. The effective rate can reach 90%.

③ The same method as above can also be used for injection of drugs such as vitamin K3, procaine, promethazine, etc., which can also achieve good results.

(4) Moxibustion: You can press Zhongwan, Guanyuan, and then Tanzhong points in this order. Gentle moxibustion should be applied to each point for 15 minutes, once a day. The cure rate of this method is 69% after one session. Repeating the moxibustion for one week will achieve a cure rate of 100%.

(5) Massage and acupressure: The therapist presses the patient's bilateral eye sockets with the thumbs of both hands, which is equivalent to the supraorbital nerve. The thumbs of both hands rotate alternately for 2 to 4 minutes as the patient tolerates, and the patient is asked to hold his breath intermittently. This often produces good results. The diaphragm point can also be massaged for 10 minutes. Some people have reported that pinching the sides of the patient's middle finger with the thumb and index finger for more than 2 to 3 minutes will produce results.

(6) Palm-strike method: The patient sits or stands, and the doctor stands behind the patient. The doctor stretches out the fingers, puts the five fingers together, straightens the wrist, and uses the base of the palm to strike the diaphragm and stomach points on the back when the patient is not prepared, 1 to 2 times on the left and right sides.

The above is what to do if you have continuous hiccups. Continuous hiccups must be treated in time, otherwise it will cause other types of diseases, such as brain symptoms and some uremia. Avoid overeating and drinking, because eating too much irritating food and cold air will cause continuous hiccups. However, many people do not pay attention to this disease, which leads to the development of many diseases.
