Hard lump under the skin on back

Many people have skin diseases in our lives. In fact, skin diseases do not only manifest themselves on the surface of the skin. Some skin diseases also manifest themselves in the lower part of the skin layer. Some people will find lumps-like things under the skin of their backs when taking a bath. Sometimes these things may move. In fact, this is mostly caused by too many lipomas in the human body. So what are the lumps under the skin of the back?

1. Lipoma

Lipoma is a benign tumor with a soft texture and smooth surface.

Lipoma is a benign tumor formed by the proliferation of mature adipose tissue. It is more common in adults aged 40 to 50. The tumor is soft, round or lobed, located under the skin and can be pushed; the tumors vary in size, some are as small as a date and can only be felt by hand, while the larger ones may bulge out from the skin surface, but the surface skin remains normal. The tumor may be single or multiple and may occur anywhere on the body surface, most commonly on the shoulders, back, and abdomen. Most of them have no subjective symptoms. Angiolipoma is a special type of lipoma, which is more common in young people. It often occurs in the lower limbs and can cause conscious pain and pain when touched.

2. Soft tissue tumors

Soft tissue tumors are a large class of heterogeneous tumors, which are classified based on their morphology similar to normal tissues and cells and the possibility of metastasis, usually into benign, borderline, and malignant.

Benign tumors are maturely differentiated and similar to normal tissues. They have limited autonomous growth ability and local infiltration. Local resection can often cure them and they rarely recur.

Malignant tumors or sarcomas grow aggressively and destroy surrounding normal tissues. Local resection often recurs and may metastasize, and radical resection is often required.

3. Soft tissue sarcoma

75% of sarcomas are undifferentiated sarcomas, liposarcoma, leiomyosarcoma, myxofibrosarcoma, synovial sarcoma, or MPNST.

Location: About 20% of STS occur in the abdominal cavity, 10% in the chest and abdominal wall, 10% in the head and neck, and 50% in the limbs.
