Medicinal value of Scutellaria baicalensis

How to eat Scutellaria baicalensis

1. Huanglian Jiedu Decoction: 9 grams of Scutellaria baicalensis, 6 grams each of Bupleurum and Phellodendron chinense, 9 grams of Gardenia jasminoides. Put the four ingredients into a stone pot, boil them in water for 30 minutes, and take the juice. Take 1 dose per day, divided into 2 times for warm drinking.

2. Scutellaria baicalensis porridge: 10 grams of Scutellaria baicalensis, 15 grams of white sugar, 50 grams of rice, add water and cook into porridge. Take it every morning, noon and evening.

3. Stir-fried winter melon with Scutellaria baicalensis: 10 grams of Scutellaria baicalensis, 250 grams of winter melon, 2 grams each of table salt and chicken essence, 5 ml each of light soy sauce and rice wine, 6 grams each of scallion segments and ginger powder. Prepare and serve with meals.

4. Steamed pork tripe with Scutellaria baicalensis: 10 grams of Scutellaria baicalensis, 250 grams of pork tripe, 2 grams each of table salt and chicken essence, 6 grams each of scallion and ginger, 5 ml each of light soy sauce and rice wine. Steam the pork tripe until it is well cooked and serve with meals.

5. Scutellaria baicalensis and three seeds tea: 5 grams of Scutellaria baicalensis, 10 grams each of Ligustrum lucidum, Lycium barbarum and Astragalus membranaceus. Put these ingredients into a thermos cup, mix with appropriate amount of boiling water, cover it and simmer for about 15 minutes before drinking.
