Precautions for senile vaginitis

Precautions for senile vaginitis

Senile vaginitis is a common gynecological disease, which usually occurs in women after menopause. The cause of the disease is mostly due to the low secretion of estrogen in the elderly, which gives bacteria an opportunity to take advantage of the situation and then cause infection, resulting in this disease. This is a relatively common disease. Although you have entered old age, you still need to pay attention to it, because this disease may cause other types of diseases. Let us look at what patients need to pay attention to.

It is of course necessary to pay attention to hygiene for this type of disease, because the invasion of bacteria is its cause, so the first prerequisite for treatment is hygiene. Of course, it is not enough to only pay attention to hygiene. It is not that simple to cure the disease. Next, let us look at the precautions after getting sick:

1. When discomfort occurs in the vulva, female friends are eager to apply medication. Experts remind you not to use medication indiscriminately when discomfort occurs in the vulva. Because the bacteria that cause senile vaginitis are mostly Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus and other bacteria, unlike women of childbearing age, which are most common in fungal vaginitis and Trichomonas vaginitis, do not use drugs to treat fungi or Trichomonas indiscriminately.

2. In daily life, female friends should pay attention to hygiene to reduce the chance of illness. Do not use soap or various liquid medicines to clean the vulva for the purpose of "disinfection and sterilization". Because the vulva skin of elderly women is generally dry and atrophied, frequently using soap and other highly irritating cleaning products to clean the vulva will aggravate skin dryness, cause itching, and damage the vulva skin.

3. Change your underwear every day during the illness. The underwear should be loose and comfortable, and made of pure cotton.

4. When senile vaginitis occurs, do not use hot water to wash the vulva due to vulvar itching. Although doing so can temporarily relieve vulvar itching, it will make the vulvar skin dry and rough, and the itching will soon become more obvious. It is advisable to use warm water when cleaning the vulva.

Don't panic if you have senile vaginitis. As long as you do what is described in this article, you can alleviate the symptoms and may even cure the disease. So if you have senile vaginitis, you must pay attention. For your health and happy life, you must pay attention to maintaining hygiene. I hope you can recover soon by following the precautions described in this article.
