Early symptoms of rheumatism

Rheumatism is a common disease. The treatment of this disease requires long-term medication. However, this will make the patient's body dependent on the drugs, which will definitely cause certain harm to the body. Therefore, when the symptoms are mild, try to seek medical attention in time to avoid missing the best treatment period. Therefore, we must clearly understand the early symptoms of rheumatism.

The early symptoms of rheumatism are obvious. Generally, patients will have symptoms of joint pain, and in severe cases, muscle weakness will occur. The range of joint pain is very wide, which is one of the characteristics that distinguishes it from other diseases. Therefore, when the early symptoms of this rheumatic disease appear, it is important to seek medical attention in time.

Common symptoms of rheumatic disease include:

1. Fever is a common symptom of rheumatic disease, which can be low fever, moderate fever, or high fever. It is often manifested as irregular fever, generally without chills, and antibiotics are ineffective. At the same time, the erythrocyte sedimentation rate is fast. For example, systemic lupus erythematosus, adult Still's disease, acute neutrophilic febrile dermatosis, and seborrheic dermatitis can all have fever as the first symptom.

2. Pain is the main symptom of rheumatism and an important cause of functional impairment. Among the pains of rheumatic diseases, pain originating from joints and their attached structures is the most common, but pain in the limbs and trunk can also be seen in visceral and nervous system diseases. Joint pain, neck and shoulder pain, low back pain, and heel pain are often the main manifestations of rheumatism, sometimes accompanied by joint swelling.

Rheumatoid arthritis often presents with symmetrical joint swelling and pain, especially in the finger joints and wrist joints; ankylosing spondylitis presents with low back pain, which worsens during rest and may be accompanied by heel pain and red eyes; polymyalgia rheumatica presents with neck and shoulder pain, limb girdle muscle pain, and muscle weakness.

Rheumatoid arthritis patients should also pay attention to the regularity of their daily diet. Eating more foods that nourish the spleen and stomach can also have a significant helpful effect on the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Secondly, during the treatment process, you should strictly follow the doctor's instructions to prevent unexpected events from causing trouble to the treatment of the disease.
