Little toe numbness

Little toe numbness

Numbness in the little toe can make people feel very uncomfortable. If the numbness is short-term, it may be due to compression that causes blood circulation problems, resulting in numbness. If persistent numbness occurs, you should seek medical attention immediately, as there are many reasons for numbness.

1. What to do if your toes are numb: massage and tapping

Use a massage hammer to tap your arms and legs, following the principle: first left then right, first up then down, first outside then inside. First tap the outside of your left arm, from top to bottom. The force should not be too strong, usually 3-5 times. Then go to the inside of the arm. The best feeling is when the skin on the entire arm feels slightly warm and itchy. The right arm is massaged in the same way. For the legs, tap the outside of the left leg first, then the inside. The same order is repeated for the right leg. It's very good if the skin is slightly hot, a little painful but also a little itchy.

To dredge the Qi and blood, problems with the cervical and lumbar vertebrae will usually compress the nerves, causing insufficient nourishment to the nerve endings, so scraping the Dazhui point and the shoulder and neck area is necessary. Lumbar vertebrae 1-5, sacrum-coccyx, Jiaji points, and bladder meridians on both sides. Lower limbs; Chengfu point--Chengshan point. Combined with cupping, Chengfu point, Weizhong point and Chengshan point. The effect will be very good. In general, do more toe massage before going to bed for better results. Everyone should actively take correct measures. Once the disease is under control, the numbness in the feet will naturally disappear. At the same time, you can also supplement some nutritional medicines and vitamins.

2. What to do if your toes are numb? Soak your hands and feet

Peel the ginger (or 20-30 peppercorns), cut it into shreds, put a small piece of ginger in the water at a time, and boil it in a pot without contact with oil for a few minutes. Then put warm water in a foot basin, and add the boiled ginger water (or peppercorn water). Soak your hands first and then your feet. When the water is warm, add ginger water. Continue this two or three times. Soak for about 15 minutes. After soaking your feet, dry them and immediately put on socks or cover them with a blanket. You cannot catch cold because your pores are open, so as to prevent cold air from entering your body.

3. What to do if your toes are numb: scientific diet and sleep

In terms of diet, you should eat more warm foods, eat less cold foods, have a regular schedule, and ensure adequate sleep. Many people have numbness or stiffness in their toes, feeling numbness, swelling, difficulty in flexion and extension, and inflexibility in movement. "Feeling like ants crawling" or "pins and needles", some patients have "socks" or "sleeves" type abnormal sensations, and feel that their skin has become thicker and their senses are dulled. Many patients often experience attacks during sleep at night, and may wake up from numbness, or feel swelling, numbness, discomfort and stiffness in their hands after getting up in the morning, which can be relieved after a little activity. The above symptoms often worsen after catching cold or being tired. Accompanied by fatigue, cold hands and feet, etc.

Numbness in toes

Numbness of hands and feet is an independent disease of motor nerve damage, which is mainly caused by stroke, paralysis, diabetes, neuritis, cervical spondylosis, rheumatism, rheumatoid disease, vasculitis and lumbar disease. The microvessels around the motor nerve fibers are blocked, compressing the motor fibers and causing serious damage to the motor nerve fibers. The conduction ability and conduction speed of nerves decrease, resulting in numbness in the hands and feet. In severe cases, it can develop into limb paralysis. Muscle atrophy and other painful symptoms. This type of disease generally occurs in middle-aged and elderly people, or those who have undergone bone and joint surgery or injuries.

It is not very obvious at the beginning, and this phenomenon does not occur often. When the weather is cold or the hands and feet are cold, this phenomenon will be more obvious. And if you observe carefully, the nails of the numb or tingling toes are thicker, much thicker than normal. And the more severe the numbness or tingling, the darker the color of the nails, and the less glossy it is. When I saw the doctor, I was told that it was not onychomycosis. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, these phenomena are actually caused by deficiency of Qi and blood, invasion of cold evil into the body, and poor circulation of Qi and blood.

Causes of numb toes

1. Numbness in the toes is one of the symptoms of numbness in the hands and feet, which is usually caused by poor peripheral blood circulation. This normal phenomenon often occurs in our daily life. For example, if we cross our legs for a long time, our legs will become numb. Numbness in the toes may also be caused by prolonged pressure from external objects. If you experience numbness in your toes for a long time, it may be caused by a disease in your body. Please go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible.

2. It may be peripheral neuritis. Peripheral neuritis is a general term for multiple peripheral nerve damage caused by various reasons, manifested as symmetrical sensory, motor and autonomic dysfunction in the distal limbs, so it is also called multiple neuritis or multiple peripheral neuritis.

3. Lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, spinal tumors, poor blood circulation, cold, and moisture may all cause numbness in the legs and feet.

4. It may be caused by cervical spondylosis compressing the nerves.

5. It may be an acute gouty joint.
