What should I do if I get bit by mosquitoes in summer?

The most common problem people encounter is being bitten by mosquitoes. Many people have no way to prevent this phenomenon, so they can only improve it through some appropriate methods, such as applying a cold towel first, and then disinfecting the local area. This is mainly to achieve timely disinfection and can relieve itching and prevent scratching.

Avoid excessive scratching, otherwise it is particularly easy to get infected. Scratching will also stimulate the secretion of tissue fluid and lymph fluid in the skin. Not only will the local area become red and swollen, but the more you scratch, the more itchy it will become. Especially for allergic skin, the more you scratch, the more severe the itching may become, forming large areas of redness and swelling. If you feel itchy after being bitten by a mosquito, you may want to apply salt water or ice for a while to relieve the itching, or apply cooling and antipruritic agents such as cooling oil, insect bite medicine, compound calamine lotion, etc. on the local skin. Most toilet water is alcohol-based and is only suitable for topical application. It may cause discomfort when applied to a large area, and may also cause stinging when the skin is slightly damaged.

If redness and swelling occur after the bite, apply a cold towel first, then apply iodine, corticosteroid preparations such as Psoriasis Cream, Wuji Cream, and Fuqingsong, etc., which have anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and analgesic effects on the redness and swelling, but cannot be used for a long time. When there are obvious signs of infection at the bite site, you should apply some anti-inflammatory ointment such as Bactroban to the affected area. If the infection is serious, you should go to the hospital in time to avoid delaying the treatment.
