Treatment of renal insufficiency

Treatment of renal insufficiency

Everyone wants to have healthy kidneys, because it can not only bring physical health to themselves, but more importantly, it can bring a healthy and harmonious married life to both husband and wife. However, as the pressure on men increases, a chronic disease called renal insufficiency slowly seeps into people's bodies. Experts say that renal insufficiency is caused by many factors. So, what are the treatments for renal insufficiency?

Speaking of renal insufficiency, many people may have misunderstandings. Renal insufficiency and what we usually call kidney deficiency and kidney unhealth are two completely different diseases. Renal insufficiency is a chronic disease, and there are many treatments. In addition to general treatments, dietary therapy is also very effective.

1. General treatment: During the compensatory stage of chronic renal insufficiency, the primary disease should be actively treated to prevent the development of uremia. During the azotemia stage, in addition to treating the disease, you should reduce your workload, avoid cold, moisture and overwork, prevent colds, and do not use drugs that damage the kidneys. Those who have symptoms of uremia should rest and receive treatment.

2. Diet therapy: In addition to the general treatments that everyone knows, a healthy diet in life still has a very important therapeutic effect. There are many foods and fruits in life that can bring health to the human body. Therefore, patients with azotemia and uremia should be given a low-protein diet, mainly composed of animal protein rich in essential amino acids for the human body. The daily protein intake for adults is about 30g. The food should be easily digestible and contain sufficient vitamins. People with low urine volume and edema should limit their sodium intake.

3. Eliminate the inducing factors: Renal insufficiency is mostly caused by infection from other diseases, so various infections are common inducing factors. It is also not uncommon for it to be caused by acute vomiting and diarrhea, fever, electrolyte imbalance and the use of nephrotoxic drugs. In addition, there are also trauma, surgery, etc.

4. Correction of metabolic acidosis: Mild metabolic acidosis can be improved by correcting water and electrolyte imbalance. Sodium bicarbonate can also be added, 4 to 8 g per day, taken orally in 2 to 4 times.

5. Correct water and electrolyte imbalance: 1. Dehydration and hyponatremia: Patients with uremia are prone to dehydration and hyponatremia. Once they occur, they should be replenished in time. 2. Hypokalemia and hyperkalemia: The former should be treated with oral potassium chloride or potassium citrate, and intravenous potassium should be supplemented in emergency situations. For the treatment of hypertension, see the section on acute and chronic renal failure. 3. Hypocalcemia and hyperkalemia and phosphatemia: Oral administration of calcium gluconate or calcium lactate can improve hypocalcemia. When hypocalcemic convulsions occur, 10% calcium gluconate or 5% calcium chloride 10-20 ml should be injected intravenously. Oral calcium carbonate 3 to 4 times a day, 0.5 to 1.0 g, can reduce the absorption of phosphorus from the intestinal absorption tract and lower blood phosphorus.

6. Heart failure: Correct and remove the causes. Dialysis and hemofiltration are the most effective treatments.

7. Protein synthesis hormone therapy: Nandrolone phenylpropionate or testosterone propionate 25-50 mg, injected intramuscularly once every 2-3 days, or nandrolone decanoate 25 mg, injected intramuscularly once every 2 weeks, can promote protein synthesis and improve anemia.

8. Blood purification therapy: Use human methods to replace the lost kidney function to purify the blood to maintain the patient's life. Commonly used methods include ① peritoneal dialysis; ② peritoneal dialysis; ③ colonic dialysis; ④ hemofiltration therapy; ⑤ sequential hemodialysis and hemodialysis and hemodiafiltration; ⑥ hemoperfusion.

9. Symptomatic treatment: ① For those who cannot eat due to nausea, vomiting, use chlorpromazine and metoclopramide; ② For those with high blood pressure, give hydralazine, methyldopa, clonidine and prazosin; ③ For those with anemia, supplement with chlorpromazine and iron.

10. Kidney transplantation: Those who have the conditions should be considered first.

11. Traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine each have their own strengths, but Western medicine does not have a particularly good method to treat various kidney diseases such as nephritis, renal insufficiency, uremia, renal failure, polycystic kidney disease, hydronephrosis, etc. Western medicine hormone and other drug treatments have limited therapeutic effects and great side effects, but they are not ideal. The disease recurs and can only improve indicators but not cure the root cause. Patients suffer and many complications will occur in the long run. Dialysis methods are used to treat uremia, renal failure and other diseases, which will cause the kidneys and other organs to gradually atrophy and fail in the long run. Ultimately, a kidney transplant is required, and the survival period is also limited. In addition, kidney transplantation is affected by factors such as rejection reactions.

Although everyone wants to have healthy kidneys and a healthy body, there are still many people whose bodies are in sub-healthy state. Friends should develop healthy eating habits, and should let go of stress, go outdoors, and participate in more outdoor fitness exercises to balance their bodies.
