Diet therapy for erosive gastritis

The stomach is a very important organ in our human body. Everything we eat needs to be digested in the stomach, so the stomach is directly exposed to anything we eat. This makes the stomach prone to various problems. Gastritis is a common stomach disease, and erosive gastritis is a type of gastritis that is more difficult to treat. We must do a good job in preventing and treating erosive gastritis.

Not only do we need to use drugs to treat erosive gastritis, but we also need to pay attention to the diet of patients with erosive gastritis in daily life, and provide good dietary care for patients with erosive gastritis.

1. Avoid rough, strong spicy and overheated foods to reduce irritation to the mucous membrane; eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, eat less or no smoked and pickled foods, and reduce salt intake. Eat at regular times and in regular amounts, and eat more easily digestible food. Eat small meals frequently and chew slowly. People with gastritis should avoid stimulating drinks such as strong liquor, strong tea, coffee, and spicy and aromatic condiments such as chili, pepper, and mustard. The most important thing to avoid is eating at irregular times and in irregular quantities. Developing good eating habits is the key to treating stomach problems.

2. Increase the intake of fiber and eat fiber-rich foods. Fiber is considered an anti-cancer ingredient. Eating a high-fiber diet can also reduce the chance of duodenal ulcers. Fiber is believed to promote mucin secretion, which can protect the duodenal mucosa.

3. Eat small meals frequently, chew slowly, and do not eat too much to avoid excessive expansion of the gastric antrum and increased secretion of gastric acid. Patients with erosive gastritis should avoid stimulating beverages such as strong liquor, strong tea, coffee, and spicy and aromatic condiments such as chili, pepper, and mustard.

4. Control your water intake. People with gastric acid deficiency should avoid diluting gastric juice. It is advisable to add vinegar, lemon juice and acidic seasoning crystals to the diet, and eat less food that is difficult to digest and causes bloating. Try to drink as much water as possible before and after meals. Eat regularly, at set times and in fixed amounts to maintain a normal digestive rhythm. Do not skip one meal and eat the next, or skip breakfast, and especially avoid overeating.
