Bronchitis mainly affects the normal functioning of the respiratory system. Don’t underestimate the minor illness of a cold. It may cause more complications, which will become more serious. Therefore, everyone should pay attention to minor illnesses.

Bronchitis is an acute or chronic inflammatory disease of the respiratory system that can cause repeated attacks of wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, and other symptoms in dogs, often occurring at night or early in the morning. Symptoms appear and disappear and can last for a few minutes or a few days. Depending on the severity of the symptoms, severe cases can be life-threatening. For dogs, bronchial diseases occur suddenly, the treatment time is long, and the owners are also physically and mentally exhausted during this period of treatment.

In fact, bronchitis refers to non-specific inflammation of the trachea, bronchial mucosa and surrounding tissues. Clinically, it is characterized by long-term cough, sputum or wheezing and repeated attacks.

The main cause of bronchitis is repeated infection of viruses and bacteria, which results in chronic nonspecific inflammation of the bronchi. When the temperature drops suddenly, the small blood vessels in the respiratory tract spasm and ischemia, and the defense function decreases, it is conducive to treatment; chronic stimulation such as smoke, dust, and polluted atmosphere can also cause the disease; mucosal mutations, reduced ciliary movement, and increased mucus secretion are conducive to infection; at the same time, some allergic factors may also lead to the onset of bronchitis.

There are three main types of bronchitis in dogs: acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis, and bronchiolitis.

This article introduces the knowledge about bronchitis caused by colds. I believe that after reading it, you will understand how harmful colds are. Don’t think that a cold is a minor illness. If you have a cough during a cold, you must deal with it in time, otherwise you may develop bronchitis.
