Can moxibustion beautify your skin?

Can moxibustion beautify your skin?

Many people have dull skin or uneven spots on their faces. This is often due to too much stress in life, or because their daily routines are very irregular, or because the body is exposed to an environment full of ultraviolet rays for a long time, which ultimately leads to various skin problems. In order to solve these problems quickly, many people think of beauty care. In fact, moxibustion is a very good choice. As long as you learn to choose properly, moxibustion can be used for beauty.

Here are some common beauty acupoints that can be used for moxibustion: Hegu: At the midpoint of the metacarpal bone connected to the index finger (the bone connected to the finger is called the metacarpal bone) close to the thumb side, usually at the bulge of the muscle when the index finger and thumb are close together. Taichong: Gently press backwards between the 1st and 2nd toes on the dorsum of the foot. You will feel a clear depression caused by the gap between the bones, which is the Taichong point. Sanyinjiao: On the inner side of the calf, 3 inches above the tip of the inner ankle (the width of your four fingers excluding the thumb), behind the inner edge of the tibia.

There are several methods of moxibustion: The general moxibustion methods include direct moxibustion, moxibustion through ginger, and suspended moxibustion. Suspension moxibustion is further divided into pecking moxibustion, spiral moxibustion, and so on. In terms of effect, direct moxibustion is the first, followed by ginger moxibustion and suspended moxibustion.

Direct moxibustion: It is to put the moxa directly on the skin and smoke it. It can be divided into scar moxibustion and non-scar moxibustion. Non-scar moxibustion is to remove the moxa when you feel it is a little hot. Scar moxibustion is to keep smoking until scars appear on the skin. This is of course a scary thing. A scar may be just a small dot, but it can greatly affect a person's appearance. Because moxibustion has to be repeated, sometimes a pit or a big scar may be left behind. This method is not suitable for use on the face. This is exactly why the ancients said not to apply moxibustion on the face.

Be careful not to wait until various skin problems appear in our body before thinking about getting beauty treatments. In order to maintain healthy skin, you must get enough sleep and drink plenty of water, especially in the dry autumn and winter seasons. Drinking plenty of water can keep your skin moisturized. In addition, in order to make the skin more elastic, you should take more baths.
