Laogong Point

Laogong point belongs to the hand Jueyin pericardium meridian. Stimulating this point can relieve heart fire, achieve the purpose of calming the mind, invigorating the brain and improving intelligence. Spread your palm, bend your middle finger naturally, and the point where the middle finger points to the palm is the Laogong point.

Place the tip of your thumb vertically on the Laogong position of the palm, and the index and middle fingers on the corresponding sides of the back of the palm. When pressing, apply force vertically downward with the thumb, the same before and after, and then press inward with the thumb, and you will feel a tingling sensation. Press the point at any number of times a day, for about 2 minutes each time, and persist for a long time, and you will be able to suppress your overly hyperactive heart fire.

Zhongchong Point

Zhongchong is also an acupuncture point on the Hand Jueyin Pericardium Meridian, located in the center of the tip of the last segment of the middle finger. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the heart controls the "spirit" and governs thinking, will and emotions. The pericardium is a membrane surrounding the heart that has the function of resisting evil and taking orders on behalf of the heart. Therefore, for many heart-related diseases, our first choice is not the acupoints of the heart meridian, but the acupoints of the pericardium meridian. By pricking blood at the Zhongchong point, you can effectively clear the heart fire and improve the state of anxiety.

How to care for anxiety disorders

1. Move your jaw and limbs

When you feel anxious, your pulse speeds up and your breathing quickens. Deep breathing can force you to slow down your breathing rate, tricking your body into believing that the anxiety is over. Correct abdominal breathing means that your abdomen will rise and fall as you inhale and exhale.

4. Divert your attention

If the work at hand makes you upset and nervous, you can temporarily divert your attention and turn your gaze to the window, so that your eyes and other parts of the body can relax in time, thereby temporarily relieving the pressure in front of you. You can even get up and walk around to temporarily escape the low mood at work.
