Fingers often feel numb, don't let these diseases "compete"

A person's ten fingers are organs that are frequently used in daily life, and we need to take care of them at all times. When your fingers are often numb, you should pay close attention to your body. Generally speaking, numbness in the fingers may indicate ten diseases.

Many people experience numbness in their fingers, but they don’t pay attention to it and always think it is a normal phenomenon. However, I want to tell you that numbness in the fingers may be related to ten diseases.

The first cervical spondylosis

Due to a series of pathological changes in the cervical spine, the spinal nerve roots are likely to be compressed, stretched and irritated, causing numbness and swelling of the fingers.

Second transient ischemic attack

Because of the increased blood viscosity and relatively slow blood flow when sleeping at night, these factors can lead to unilateral numbness of the fingers caused by one-time cerebral ischemia.

The third type of stroke

Stroke patients often experience headaches, dizziness, limb numbness, and tongue swelling. Numbness in the fingers is also one of the symptoms.

The fourth type of diabetes

Diabetes can cause many complications. If peripheral neuropathy occurs, sensations such as numbness in the limbs may occur.

Rheumatoid arthritis

Numbness in the fingers is one of the early symptoms, and severe cases may cause joint pain.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

The thickening of the transverse carpal ligament is mainly caused by wrist injury, fracture, dislocation, sprain or excessive wrist fatigue. Numbness and weakness in the fingers is one of its symptoms.

The seventh type of mobile phone elbow

This is mainly caused by answering calls on the mobile phone or sleeping with bent arms as a pillow, which compresses the nerves and causes numbness and weakness in the fingers.

The eighth type of peripheral neuritis

Long-term poor absorption and digestion function and malnutrition can lead to vitamin B1 deficiency and cause numbness in fingers.

The ninth type of chronic alcoholism

For some people who drink frequently, numbness in the fingers is most likely due to chronic alcohol poisoning.

The tenth type of cardiovascular blockage

This may cause numbness in your fingers due to poor blood circulation.

Massage Methods for Numb Fingers

1. Massage the chest to strengthen the heart and strengthen the body

Use the thumb of one hand to massage along the Tanzhong point (located on the midline of the sternum, the midpoint of the line connecting the two nipples, at the level of the 4th intercostal space), and four fingers to massage along the Tianchi point (located 1 inch outside the nipple of the chest, 5 inches away from the anterior midline, in the depression of the 4th intercostal space), and the Shenfeng point (2 inches away from the midline of the chest, in the depression of the 4th intercostal space).

Use the other hand to massage from the Tiantu point on the neck (located on the anterior midline of the neck, in the middle of the suprasternal fossa) to the Jiuwei point at the bottom of the chest (located 7 inches above the navel and half an inch below the xiphoid process) up and down for a total of 100 times.

2. Massage the neck to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis

Use the thumbs and four fingers of your left and right hands respectively to pinch the Lianquan point (located on the front midline of the neck, above the Adam's apple, in the depression above the tongue), the Renying point (located 1.5 inches away from the Adam's apple on the neck), and the Tiantu point at the lower end of the throat 100 times each.

Then use your left and right hands to rhythmically press and rub the Tianzhu point (located in the depression behind the edge of the trapezius muscle of the neck, about 1.3 inches away from the center of the back bun) and the Yamen point (located on the posterior midline of the neck, in the depression between the 1st and 2nd cervical spines) on the back of the neck 64 times each, assisting with the head pitching and tilting movements.

3. Wash your arms to regulate your meridians and eliminate evil spirits

Use your right hand to pinch the Jiquan point in the left armpit (located at the apex of the armpit, where the axillary artery pulsates), and then comb the inside and outside of the arm from top to bottom and from bottom to top.

Then press the Hegu point (place the interphalangeal joint line of one thumb facing the thumb of the other hand, the edge of the web between the index fingers, where the tip of the thumb points) and Laogong point (located in the palm of the hand, between the 2nd and 3rd metacarpal bones, on the palm line of the metacarpal bones, where the tip of the middle finger points when you make a fist) 64 times each. It is best to switch hands and massage in the same way.

4. Stretch your neck to relieve muscle spasms

Raise your hands to your waist, inhale, and then slowly press down, grip the ground with your feet, straighten your chest and abdomen, and consciously stretch your neck upward to absorb the spiritual energy of heaven and earth.
