What are the symptoms of spleen and stomach disorders? what to do?

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that when the spleen and stomach are not in good condition, there will be signs that appear, and you can self-diagnose the health of your spleen and stomach through changes in certain parts of the body and the occurrence of diseases. Different signs indicate different symptoms. So what are the symptoms of spleen and stomach disorders?

Dark circles: Spleen and stomach blood turbidity

The stomach meridian is a meridian with abundant qi and blood, and the area where you have bags under the eyes is the starting point of the stomach meridian. It is more likely to accumulate turbid matter, so people who stay up late often have dark circles under their eyes, which is a manifestation of turbid blood.

Traditional Chinese medicine method: relieve stress as much as possible; ensure adequate sleep and avoid staying up late; watch less stimulating movies and TV; adjust your diet, eat small meals frequently, eat more easily digestible and absorbable proteins such as eggs, fish, etc., and eat less spicy and irritating foods.

Dull lips: Spleen deficiency

If a person has a healthy spleen, his lips will be rosy and shiny, and his skin will be elastic; on the contrary, if a person has a weak spleen, his lips will be pale and dull, or even yellow, and will often peel.

Traditional Chinese Medicine method: People with spleen deficiency can move lunch time forward to 11 o'clock, because the spleen is at its strongest at this time, and its ability to digest food and absorb nutrients is the strongest. The spleen is weakest between 19:00 and 23:00. You can eat a piece of fruit one hour after dinner to help strengthen the spleen.

Constipation: Diarrhea is caused by stomach heat and cold.

For those with stomach heat, food residues move downward slowly and water is easily lost, becoming very dry by the time they reach the large intestine, thus leading to constipation. In contrast, the stool is often unformed and very watery, which is mostly caused by spleen and stomach deficiency and coldness.

Traditional Chinese Medicine method: People with constipation can try the abdominal pushing method, which is to place one hand on the lower edge of the left lung and the other hand on top of it, and massage evenly with force. This method can promote gastrointestinal motility and accelerate the downward movement of food residues. For those with diarrhea, warm moxibustion can be applied to the Zhongwan point (4 inches above the navel), Zusanli point (press the knee with the palm of your hand, one horizontal finger outward from the tip of your middle finger), Guanyuan point (3 inches below the navel) and other acupoints, and drinking one cup of ginger, jujube and brown sugar water every day to improve symptoms.

Red nose: Heat in the spleen and stomach

If a person's nose wings are red, it often indicates heat in the spleen and stomach.

Traditional Chinese Medicine method: Those with heat in the spleen and stomach can massage the Zusanli point for 5 minutes each time, 2 to 3 times a day. At the same time, massaging the Neiting point of the stomach meridian (between the second and third toes) will have a better effect.

Muscle relaxation: weak spleen and stomach

If a person's muscles are loose and inelastic, or if he has little muscle and a lot of fat, it is mostly due to weak spleen and stomach.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Method: People with weak spleen and stomach can exercise their toes and massage their calves frequently.
