What is the use of scraping and what are the benefits of scraping?

Gua Sha therapy has been widely spread among the people since ancient times because of its easy operation and remarkable effect. In folk scraping, basically the process of scraping is to scrape wherever it hurts. The ancients often used daily necessities with smooth edges, such as silver coins, soup spoons, and tender bamboo boards, dipped them in water, wine, or sesame oil, and scraped the skin surface. So what are the benefits of scraping?

Benefits of Gua Sha

1. Scraping can effectively promote human metabolism and expel toxins from the body.

Our human body is constantly metabolizing every day, and many toxins are deposited in the pores under our skin. Gua Sha can allow the waste left in the body during these metabolisms to be excreted, make the blood flow more smoothly, and restore natural metabolic vitality.

2. Scraping can also dredge the tendons

Nowadays, more and more people are suffering from cervical spondylosis, periarthritis of the shoulder, and low back pain, because these muscles are often in a state of tension and contraction. Gua Sha can relax the muscles and eliminate the painful lesions; it can relieve muscle tension, significantly reduce the pain symptoms, and also help the recovery of the lesions.

3. Gua Sha can effectively adjust and balance the yin and yang of the human body

“When Yin and Yang are balanced, the spirit will be healthy.” Traditional Chinese Medicine places great emphasis on the balance of Yin and Yang in the body. Gua Sha has a two-way regulating effect on human body functions. It can improve and adjust the functions of internal organs and restore their balance.
