1. Sexual contact transmission

Sexual contact is the main way genital herpes is transmitted. Even if genital herpes is still in the incubation period, it is contagious. This is one of the reasons why genital herpes spreads so quickly.

2. Indirect transmission of infection through objects

Indirect contact transmission: A small number of patients are infected through indirect contact transmission. This is mainly because the genital herpes virus can survive for several hours after leaving the human body. Therefore, if they come into contact with things used by the patient, they will also be infected.

3. Blood-borne infection

Blood-borne infection, the transfusion of blood or other blood products containing herpes simplex virus can cause the blood of a healthy person to become infected.

4. Mother-to-child transmission

Placental transmission: If genital herpes in pregnant women is not discovered and treated in time, or the treatment is not thorough, it can be transmitted to the fetus through the placenta's blood circulation, causing infection or disease. Birth canal transmission: If a pregnant woman has genital herpes, the fetus will be infected with the genital herpes virus when passing through the birth canal and during vaginal delivery.
