What to do if internal hemorrhoids prolapse? How to deal with prolapsed internal hemorrhoids

Prolapse of internal hemorrhoids is a common symptom in the middle and late stages of hemorrhoid disease. Hemorrhoid patients may experience prolapse after defecation, consumption of spicy food, or excessive drinking. Sometimes prolapsed internal hemorrhoids can be pushed back, but sometimes they cannot. In this case, some emergency treatment methods need to be taken.

1: What to do if internal hemorrhoids prolapse

1: Take a sitz bath with warm water or 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution. It is better to take a sitz bath with Chinese herbal decoction that clears away heat and toxic substances, promotes blood circulation and reduces swelling. This can improve local blood circulation, reduce edema and prevent and treat inflammation.

2: Rest in bed and relax the anus to reduce local pressure and help reduce hemorrhoids.

3: Try to push the prolapsed internal hemorrhoids back into the anus. If necessary, you can use gauze to make a tower shape and press it on the anus, and then secure it with tape or a T-band to prevent it from prolapse again.

4: Control your bowel movements. In patients with incarcerated hemorrhoids, most of the hemorrhoids are large. After timely reduction, the patient should control bowel movements for 1 to 2 days to prevent the hemorrhoids from prolapsing again.

5: If the manipulation cannot be successful, you should go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible to prevent infection and necrosis.

2: The harm of prolapse of internal hemorrhoids

1: If the prolapsed internal hemorrhoids are not treated in time, it will cause great harm. Because if the internal hemorrhoids prolapse for a long time, the local blood circulation will be obstructed, varicose veins or even thrombosis will occur in the prolapsed part, and the volume will increase. At this time, the anus is prone to spasm and contraction due to pain, which will make the prolapsed internal hemorrhoids unable to retract, resulting in incarceration and even necrosis, infection, suppuration, ulceration, etc. If the patient suffers from severe pain, is unable to sit, lie down or walk, is unable to pass gas and defecate normally, or even suffers from intestinal obstruction, the consequences will be very serious. Some patients do not suffer from incarceration because the prolapsed internal hemorrhoids are small, but if they are not retracted in time, symptoms such as anal relaxation, constant urge to defecate, anal mucus discharge, and blood-stained underwear will occur.

3: If the patient with internal hemorrhoids is impacted

If you stay outside the door for a long time, hemorrhoidal vein thrombosis may occur, which will aggravate the symptoms of incarceration. In severe cases, hemorrhoid necrosis and bacterial infection may occur. Therefore, it should be dealt with in a timely manner.
