Limb rehabilitation methods for hemiplegic patients to help restore limb mobility

In daily life, we sometimes see some patients whose nerves are out of control and they become paralyzed. Hemiplegia has a great impact on people's daily lives, because the body's nerves cannot control themselves, resulting in a situation where they cannot control themselves. However, hemiplegic patients can recover their limbs through some exercises.

1: Limb rehabilitation methods for hemiplegic patients

1: First of all, you should insist on exercising every day, and medical staff should guide the patient's body to do repeated exercises, so as to achieve the purpose of activating blood circulation. Physical exercise is not enough. Patients should also insist on walking to gradually alleviate their symptoms. If they persist, they will see the effect.

2. Practice sitting and standing

1: First raise the head of the bed and practice sitting up, starting from 30 degrees, gradually increasing the angle and extending the time, allowing the patient to transition to sitting on the edge of the bed with both feet hanging down. Get up slowly, otherwise you will feel dizzy. Then you can learn to stand under the protection of someone. When standing, first concentrate your body weight on the healthy lower limb, then slowly move it to the affected limb, and gradually extend the standing time. At the same time, upper limb exercises should not be neglected.

3: Limb function training on the hospital bed

1: Generally refers to the period from onset to the ability to sit up, which is about 1 to 2 weeks for patients with cerebral infarction and about 3 to 4 weeks for patients with cerebral hemorrhage. Once the condition is stable, rehabilitation exercises can be started. First, let the patient learn to put the healthy leg on the knee of the affected leg, and slide it down along the affected calf to the ankle; use the healthy arm to pull the affected arm up, and use the healthy limbs to help the affected side to move.

2: Secondly, you can hang a rope on the other end of the bed and let the patient use his healthy hand to pull the body to move, such as turning over, lifting legs, raising arms, etc., and exercise as much as he can. Finally, for patients with severe limb paralysis who cannot exercise on their own, nursing staff should help them do passive exercises, such as adduction, abduction, rotation, flexion and extension of limb joints; to prevent deformities, orthotic devices can be used to fix the affected limb in a functional position; at the same time, muscle massage can be given to lay a good foundation for getting out of bed and moving around.

4: Practice walking and self-care skills

1: After the patient is able to stand for a longer period of time, he or she can start practicing walking. First practice marching on the spot, raising the affected limb as high as possible, and then practice walking with the help of two people, holding onto the back of a chair or walking with crutches.

2: After the patient is able to walk independently, he or she can then practice some daily living skills, such as going up and down stairs, dressing, eating, washing, etc., to promote the full recovery of paralyzed limb function.

5. Rehabilitation treatment for hemiplegic patients

of long. When patients choose a course of treatment, they must pay attention to soothing their emotions, which will help their recovery. In this regard, one should also consult the doctor’s advice, which can help the patient’s body to be effectively treated correctly.
