How to measure ovulation with a thermometer, precautions for basal body temperature method

Preparing for pregnancy is a very important thing for most women, which includes detecting a woman's ovulation period. The success rate of pregnancy will be higher during a woman's ovulation period. So how should women monitor their ovulation period? In fact, the test can be completed using a commonly used household thermometer.

1: How to measure ovulation with a thermometer

1: Overview Women's basal body temperature also changes during the menstrual cycle: after menstruation, the body temperature is relatively low, but with the appearance of the egg, the body temperature will rise by about 0.4 degrees due to the influence of the corpus luteum and progesterone, and will not gradually recover until the next menstruation.

2: Method a. Go to a pharmacy or hospital and buy a special measuring sheet and a special thermometer. b. The night before measurement, shake the thermometer to allow it to return to the correct value before going to bed. c. After getting up every morning, don’t do anything, just put the thermometer in your mouth. After 6 or 7 minutes, check the temperature result, record it in the measurement table, and draw a curve graph of the results of each cycle.

3: Result analysis Through the curve chart, you will find that it shows a gradually rising trend from low to high, and the day of a sudden rise in each stage is the day when the egg is born.

2. Notes

1: Choose a fixed time point. This time point is usually the time when you wake up in the morning. Some people get up early, some get up late. This depends on individual circumstances. But there are two points to note here: First, you must ensure more than six hours of sleep at night, no less than this time. The second point is that after waking up, just lie there quietly and place the thermometer where you can easily reach it with your hand. Remember not to move.

2: Choose a specific measurement location. This is different from the usual way we measure body temperature by placing the thermometer in the armpit. We put the thermometer under the tongue. In terms of time, about five minutes will be enough.

3: Perseverance. The worst thing about all things is to fish for three days and then dry the nets for two days. This is especially true when measuring body temperature, which undergoes small changes every day as ovulation approaches. If you are lazy, then I can't do anything to you.

4: Keep good records. You may remember these tiny changes now, but you will forget them after tomorrow. So it is very important to keep good records. Can't be careless at all. We can't just scribble on a blank sheet of paper. Just like a dedicated thermometer, it is best to use a dedicated thermometer for recording paper.

3: Although this process seems troublesome

But it is relatively accurate and basically will not have the same errors as ovulation test strips.
