How to treat tongue pain

In our daily life, if we get angry or accidentally bite our tongue, it may cause tongue pain. Tongue pain can cause people to lose appetite and have a great impact on our eating. So what should you do if your tongue hurts?

1: What causes tongue pain?

1: There is fire in the human body, which is usually reflected in the mouth, such as heavy tongue coating, mouth ulcers, and red bumps on the tongue. Then eat less irritating foods. Eat more tomatoes, grapefruits and other foods rich in vitamin C (don’t eat oranges, they will make you irritated).

2: Biting your tongue You have indeed bitten your tongue, or a bone may have pricked your tongue while you were eating fish or meat, which will cause inflammation and lead to redness and swelling. Just take some anti-inflammatory medicine such as Niuhuang Jiedu Tablets and you will be fine.

3: Bacterial infection There is also bacterial infection. There are a lot of bacteria in the food we eat. If you have a small wound on your tongue and it gets infected, that would be bad. Take some time to go to the hospital and don't be afraid to see a doctor. Many times we think it is a minor problem, but if it is not dealt with in time it will become troublesome.

2: What to do if your tongue hurts

1: Psychologically guided treatment: Comprehensively examine the oral cavity and tongue to exclude tongue pain caused by other diseases; treat chronic systemic diseases and remove local irritants; if no positive signs are found, the doctor should patiently explain to the patient, eliminate the patient's fear, liberate the mind, let go of the burden, and the tongue pain symptoms will generally be significantly relieved.

2: Autonomic nervous system regulation treatment: When patients with tongue pain have symptoms of irritability and depression, sedatives and tranquilizers can be used and drugs such as oryzanol can be used to regulate autonomic nervous system function.

3: Take nimodipine or compound danshen tablets orally to dilate blood vessels and improve blood supply to the tongue tissue.

4: Local blockade treatment: When the foliate papillae at the root of the tongue are inflamed and the tongue is very painful, local injection of 2% procaine + hydrocortisone acetate can be used for local blockade treatment, which can effectively relieve the pain symptoms.

3: Avoid spicy food

Adjust your diet reasonably. The food should be light, easy to digest, rich in high calories and protein, and eat more fresh vegetables and fruits. Maintain a regular daily routine, keep a good mood, strengthen physical exercise, and improve the body's resistance to disease.
