How to treat condyloma herpes? Complete treatment methods for condyloma herpes

Condyloma acuminatum and genital herpes are common sexually transmitted diseases. It is more common in the vagina in women and in the foreskin and penis in men. In severe cases, it can damage people's reproductive health. So is there any way to treat herpes genital warts?

1. Drug treatment

1: (1) 5% 5-FU ointment 5-FU is a commonly used anti-tumor drug that can inhibit cell proliferation. It has a relatively mild effect and generally requires 2 to 3 weeks of treatment. (2) Acetic acid: Trichloroacetic acid is a strong acid that can be used to burn warts and is generally used to treat type II lesions. Before applying the medicine, apply 2% cacao with a cotton ball to the lesion for 3-5 minutes, then apply 50% trichloroacetic acid with a cotton swab to the lesion to allow the medicine to reach the base. Be careful not to damage the surrounding healthy mucosal tissue when applying the medicine. Do not use during menstruation. Use the medicine twice a week. Or apply 20% salicylic acid and glacial acetic acid externally.

2. Microwave therapy

1: This is a treatment method that became popular after entering the 1990s. Its principle is to use the high-frequency vibration of microwaves to evaporate the moisture inside the wart, causing it to necrotize and fall off. The characteristics of microwave treatment are that the warts are completely destroyed and are not prone to recurrence, but the wound recovers slowly and is prone to secondary infection. Therefore, microwave therapy is particularly suitable for treating large, isolated, and scattered warts. At the same time, it should be kept away from the frenulum of the foreskin to prevent damage to the frenulum and affect male sexual function.

Three: Laser treatment

1: Suitable for superficial warts around the vulva and anus; it is characterized by rapid effect, and the warts will fall off at the time of treatment. The most commonly used method is carbon dioxide laser, which burns the warts and usually removes them in one treatment. However, because the laser beam is too concentrated, laser treatment is only suitable for genital warts with smaller bodies. If the warts are larger, laser treatment will easily lead to recurrence. The cure rate can reach 80%.

IV: Surgical Resection

1: Surgical excision may be considered for larger, isolated pedunculated warts. Surgical removal of genital warts is generally not recommended because genital warts are prone to recurrence after surgical treatment, resulting in treatment failure. However, for larger pedunculated warts or those suspected of malignancy, surgical removal may be considered. For some patients, genital warts grow too quickly or are as big as cauliflower, making other treatments very difficult, so surgical treatment may be considered. To prevent recurrence, other treatments are recommended after surgery. Depending on the wart mass and coverage area, choose lesion excision or vulvar excision.

Five: Cryotherapy

1: Freeze with liquid nitrogen or carbon dioxide dry ice to cause necrosis of the wart tissue (i.e. the local skin lesion). Genital warts are caused by infection with the genital warts virus, leading to benign proliferation of the skin and mucous membranes. It has a large number of small blood vessels that proliferate rapidly. The freezing method can be used to freeze the inside of genital warts, causing severe local edema of the tissue, thereby destroying the warts. The biggest advantage of cryosurgery is that it leaves no local marks and the cure rate is about 70%. During the treatment, except for local redness, swelling, pain and blister reactions, there are generally no obvious sequelae. It can be used by spraying or direct contact, and is suitable for flat and smaller warts. Generally freeze it once a week, for 2 to 3 times in a row. Generally treated after menstruation.

6. Electrocautery

1: Electrocautery is an older treatment method. In the past, dermatologists often used high-frequency electric knives or electric soldering irons to burn common warts, moles, and other skin growths. Its characteristics are simple operation and quick effect. High-frequency electric knife can directly remove and dry warts, and the treatment is more thorough. However, the healing of the ulcer surface caused by electric cauterization is slow. In summary, electrocautery therapy can be used to treat any genital warts, but it requires high technical skills from the operator, and excessive or insufficient cautery can be harmful. At the same time, pay attention to aseptic operation to prevent infection. High-frequency electrosurgery or electroacupuncture is more suitable for treating smaller lesions of the cervix or vagina. Larger warts may require electrocautery in batches.

Seven: surgical curettage

1: During treatment, use your left hand to stretch the skin or mucous membrane of the affected area, or hold a sterilized scraper and scrape the affected tissue from the root with a little force; thoroughly remove the residual affected tissue on the wound surface, and then apply 33% trichloroacetic acid solution, pure carbonic acid solution or 3% ferric chloride solution locally.

8: Surgical ligation

1: Suitable for single small lesions with burdock. After local disinfection and local anesthesia; lift the wart tissue with tweezers, clamp the root with hemostatic forceps, and then tie the base with No. 1 silk thread. Generally, the wart will fall off 3-5 days after ligation.

9: Traditional physical therapy,

Cryosurgery, laser, electrocautery, surgery, etc. can only destroy the surface tissue of warts. Antiviral treatment must be performed after surgery. The patients suffer great pain, the treatment time is long, the cost is expensive, and the warts are prone to recurrence due to the decline of the body's own immune system.
